Does anyone know when resort room bookings at WDW for before the cruise? Considering Easter is the weekend before we leave I want to make sure we get a room at a good rate.

Sheesh... we're screwed.. it may be the only time I go to WDW and not hit the parks cause of the crowds... I have to get there at least 2 days ahead for my body to catch up with the rest of me...

Hi Cruisemates! And WELCOME to our newest members!

I'm still home recovering from my outpatient surgery and am finally able to sit at my computer (and the dining table) for a few minutes at a time! Today I'm going to take some walks to start building up strength from five days of laying around and hope to be able to do a couple of half days of work at the end of the week.

Easter at Disney - I did that once. I don't remember it being massively crowded but that was 1998

Does anyone know when DCL will post excursions for our cruise? A person has to plan ya know.

By the way, thought I would reveal that it is suppose to be 79 here on Friday!!!! I love Florida (most of the time)

I wish... I have nerve damage in my neck... when I travel I go through a bit of extra pain... so it takes a few days for my body to calm down... (my reason to get to WDW ahead of time...)

Weather much better today than one year ago. We had some tornados last year. Much happier with sunny and clear today. Think I'm going to go to a nearby park and walk in the woods.

Happy Saturday! Thanks for the reminder on the clocks. I usually work weekends and would therefore remember, but I'm off this weekend and am afraid I'm going to forget and be late on Monday! Weather went up to 15C (60F) yesterday and was beautiful. I ,of course, had to work. Right now it is 4C (40F) and it is only going up to 8C. It is very gloomy looking out there, I think it's going to rain all day. Looks like I'll be walking...around the malls Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Morning kids. I left a couple of windows open last night, so it's chilly here in the computer room this morning! Looks like it will be a glorious day so I plan and going out and walking around a bit. Then perhaps a trip to my sister's house (cause I'm sick of my house after eight days). She has some comfy recliners with a view of her beautiful back yard, so it will be a nice change of sceanery.

Better yet, the lucky person who books that "cat. 11" cabin is really getting a cat. 4!

We booked a Cat 11 and they did not gives us a cabin number ..... I wonder.

I live in Duval County. By the way, the park was really neat. I saw a small gator in the lake. He was near the shore and splashed away when I sneezed . Scared me at first. He was about 3 feet long. Heard lots of birds as well.

You can book a room now (room only, no packages) but they'll charge you the deposit at the peak rate for THIS year and then adjust the price after the rates get published (usually August). I already booked rooms for our January 2010 trip at POFQ.
I'm anticipating that we'll fly down the night before the cruise and stay on Disney property and then take the Disney bus to the pier. That's what we did for the PC cruise. I will NOT be booking a value room though, since the shuttles to the pier don't leave from value resorts. We had that problem last time, staying at Pop Century.
