hmmm I wonder can you go to the bar and order one of those without eating there?
--I love that as well, and forget it's name. Well, they DO have a bar with bar stools. The Manager of Palo's is usually in Rockin' Bar D on embarkation day, so that will be a good question to ask (can we get it elsewhere, or do we belly up to the Palo's Bar?).
... booked AA flights using points had mentioned that an AA rep had suggested switching to Iberia. Was that just to save points? We were able to get the 20k per leg mile savers flights from bcn to jfk so we should be good right? or would there still be a reason we might not want to take AA to jfk?
--I originally booked on AA, but only did so within the past few weeks, so I was not able to get in on the 20,000 point level (I am envious that you did). I was required to cough up 60,000 points per person to fly coash with AA. By going with Iberia, we only paid 50,000 per person, which got us Business Class. I am glad that option was available for me, as I'd likely develop FLAT BUTT real fast in coach.
If you are satisfied with your current seats and points use, you should be okay. On the other hand, if you like the idea of business class, you might call AA.com to see if this option is
available to you. Ask them about flying Iberia Business Class, cost$ associated with any such ticket change, as well as mileage/points difference.
I, too, thought brunch was just ok. Never been to dinner though. I think I'll like that better. Dee has us booked for tea already and I'm looking forward to that, too. Are you going to try tea this time out?
--With 14 days at hand, there's probably a good chance we'll try a TEA. I understand it's been compared to a nice, relaxing, "social event". PM me and my DW if you want to link up during the cruise for TEA. We probably won't book in advance.
"I can't make up my mind" - that's why I'm booked BTB EB TA & Med
--Sounds like a
GRRREAT idea for an official theme name for the BTB cruise ... with
LIME GREEN lanyards!
We are flying home from Madrid to Orlando on AA miles, but we've been locked in on those flights for many months now. I wonder what it will be like flying on Iberia? Could be a lot nicer than AA
--The carrier itself isn't as important to me, as compared to Business Class, with the wide, reclining seats and personal video screens.
