YEAH!!!! We have a name and a logo. I'm quite happy.

I loved the nametag that you designed for this one.

Does it SNOW in Barcelona?

Snow is very rare in Barcelona. Barcelona is in the Mediterranean, and its temperature is fairly warm, especially in April. You may need a jacket or shawl for the evenings. I would compare Barcelona's temperature to LA, and both are located next to water.

All our passports have been sent in and the time line for return is 4-6 weeks...I was really hoping to get up to Vancouver for an olympic event. Here is hoping they get returned in 4 weeks!
Dr. Dave sent his passport a couple of weeks before Christmas, and he got his new one (plus the old passport) back last week!

We are considering a day-trip to Segovia from Madrid, and hope to visit the Roman Aqueduct, Cathedral, and Alcazar.
Any recommendations on those sites, other sites, or restaurants? Thanks.

Woody

Segovia is an excellent day-trip, a short and easy train ride away from Madrid.

The Roman aqueduct in Segovia is beautiful, and it is the best preserved (and longest) aqueduct I have seen. It goes on and on... If you walk into town from the train station, towards the majestic aqueduct, you will see a large & unique carousel. It's hard to miss... There is a series of stairs to climb the aqueduct to the LEFT of that carousel. Those who do climb can get a better and closer view of the aqueduct.. you could also go to the other end of the aqeuduct, which is on an incline (where the aqueduct tapers off) and attain a similar view. Seeing that aqueduct was one of the best things we did in Spain.

The Alcazar is a must-see for Disney fans, since it will remind of you of a fairytale castle... I am a little castle-crazy. princess: The pinkish hue of the castle's stones is breathtaking and the turrets are so romantic... do not miss that photo opportunity from the side of the castle. I should warn you that it is more beautiful on the outside than the inside (subjective, of course).

The inside of the Alcazar was quite a surprise, because its interior is styled in a Moorish style, and the furnishings seemed sparse. However, the ceilings had exquisite Moorish patterns of tile work. In comparison, we have visited the Palace of Versailles in France, Windsor castle in the UK, and the Palacio Real in Madrid (A MUST-SEE!!), all of which were more exciting and romantically furnished on the inside; I won't compare their frescoes to the interior tile work at Segovia's Alcazar, since they are too different. In addition, we climbed to the roof of this castle (included in the ticket) to see the turrets up close; on a clear day, you can see quite far across the village and green flat land below.

I will post more about Segovia and other Spanish faves after work!

While we are on the subject of the FE, not sure if Michelle or Lynne is keeping charge and who to PM about it, but need to make sure my second stateroom of

Eric (dh), Kayti (18), Chloe (8) and Bella (7) are added :) It is a CAT12 GTY.

We love the FE and my family loves whatever comes in it, whenever it comes. So much fun to come back to the room and find treats waiting.

If you are going to have 2 FEs, can you tell us who is actually in which room, not the official Disney room assignment.

Stephanie -- Would you be willing to share the map graphic you used for your sig image? I would love to repurpose it for a door magnet. Please? :flower3:

Add us to the list of families staying at the Country Inn & Suites on Friday, April 9th! $49 through Priceline... gotta love it!! Now off to book air to MCO! :thumbsup2

Good idea Lynne:

Jeanne, Eric, Bella, Nick

second room:

Kayti, Kelsey, Emily, Chloe

We are all doing both cruises now, the TA and the MED, so can you please add them on the MED cruisers list? Thanks!

ok please someone tell me how to get on the list for the FE - I thought I had put my name in several times but am not on the web site:

Krisann (A)
Ashley (A)
Ashlyn (15)
Aaron (12 - will turn 13 on April 21st)

Thanks - Krisann

Krisann - I had you on the top of the page, but missed putting you on the cabin breakdown below. I couldn't get the numbers to match, so tonight I doublechecked. Definitely not intentional.

Anybody left any lists, just let me know - again & again, if necessary.

Lynne

I LOVE it!!!!
Thank you, great job Stephanie!!

I feel so bad, I think I worded my post in the wrong way. :blush Sorry everyone. I totally had no intention of trying to limit the FE. I wanted those who only wanted to do one to feel fine about it, especially where luggage space is concerned. I really agree that those that want to do more should go ahead and do it! My DS LOVES getting things in the FE too, and the cruise would just not be the same to him if I didn't do it.

When I said we can make it official, I meant Brookyln and Dishy's kids being SM partners.....not the limit on FE. I just posted under the wrong quote. I better go back and fix that. :)

I think you can do it as a pair if you want. You might be given a single person to give and a single person to receive from, but if you are ok with that, I don't see why not?

Hey, no worries. :goodvibes
I am doing one per stateroom just because of space issues.

Since we have FE we might as well use it, right? :)

We are 2 adults and 3 children.

Our favorite WB PC FE gifts were these small blue binoculars on Panama Canal day. My girls still use them. :)

OK y'all, I have FINALLY caught up on reading all 188+ pages of this thread!

I've checked in here before, but wanted to reintroduce myself to everyone (since that was many, many pages ago)! We normally don't do the "group get-together" thing, but since we are all going to be together for 2 whole weeks, we'd like to get to know y'all!

I'm Lorrie and I'll be on the EBTA with my husband Rex. We are child-free 30-somethings who love Disney. We took our first Disney cruise back in May and loved it so much that we booked the EBTA before we left the ship!

I hope to post more on this thread in the coming weeks. It'll help to get me more excited about the trip... well, if it is possible to be more excited! Can't wait to meet everyone!

For anyone planning to a 1 night stay at Country Inn & Suites in Cape Canaveral...

There is a Hertz car rental located right on property (at the end of their driveway). I was planning to take Florida Town Car Service from MCO to the hotel for $100 for the 4 of us, but for about $40- $50 you can pick up a car at MCO on April 9th & drop it off at Hertz on the 10th at the hotel location. Not only saving yourself $$ but you wont have to bring all of your cruise luggage into the hotel if you don't need it. Still not sure if I will feel like renting a car when I land at 11:29 pm at MCO, but I reserved one just in case... I do have 90 days & 11 minutes to think about it... but who's counting??? :yay:

I hope it is large enough....I don't have a better file then that one. I do have a high resolution one though for the Med. :confused3

Early Saturday for me. ;)
Two sets of questions:
First, what day is our group's Palo brunch? Did DCL give our group a set date/time yet?

Next, around post #2090, Steve (sdlong) mentioned a fantastic idea for holding a private DIS party with the ship's involvement, including possible invitations extended to the ship's officers. Were we going to move forward with that idea?

This is great Stephanie, thank you! Also, I am really enjoying the "updated" trip logo. Thanks for making it. :thumbsup2

You think perhaps I also have an affinity for that scroll & ship design?

question: what time can we start booking on the 10th? 12:01 Eastern time or is it like sometime that morning?

I am excited about this next step and I am going to start pulling items out and packing this weekend!
