LL just told me about the monorail collision last night/early this morning (2am). One of the drivers was killed!

Everything is better with an adult beverage! My SIL was cracking me up because she has discovered this banana-pineapple slushie at our gas station and then puts rum in it! It is delicious though so I may have found my new pool beverage!

I saw that about the monorail! I was shocked! Things like that aren't allowed to happen at Disney. I am not even going to tell my family about it -- Connor would refuse to ride it ever again!

I think Connor and I think alike! In my head I get that this is a "freak" accident (first in 38 yrs) but it certainly makes me think twice about asking to sit up front with the driver.

It was very yummy! Sadly, it is pouring rain today, so there will be no pool with fun slushies today. I think I will make cranberry chocolate chip cookies and scrapbook instead.

Connor gets it from me (nothing like passing on my Piglet ways to my offspring) -- I thought, "I am not asking to sit up front with the driver ever again!"

I wonder how long the monorail will have to be closed for? I'm sure they can't re-open until they figure out what happened and how to prevent it in the future. Plus looks like those two trains need quite a bit of repair!

That is so awful about the monorail acccident. I simply can't wrap my head around it. I wore my "por favor mantangese..." shirt to bed last night. Too sad....

Well, our BBQ was a bust. It got really chilly last night and then the arguments amongst the teenagers started...but, I had to leave early to go to work so I missed out on that part! I got to eat and run!

Katie - that house is absolutely amazing! I hope everything works out!

CP - I hope you don't get too bad of storms!

Agree- this has to be a freak accident. My head knows that. My nervous little Eeyore "oh dear" voice does not.

Same here. It's not so warm but super sunny! It feels more like April 5th than July 5th!

Oops, sorry. This is the first time I have been on since 10:30 this morning. We made cookies, then I made chicken salad sandwiches for lunch. This afternoon Chelsea and I vegged out on the couch and watched Gone with the Wind -- she had never seen it before and since it is one of my favorite movies, and it is set in Atlanta, I figured it was time. I was really shocked that she liked it as much as she did -- she insisted we watch all of it even though I suggested a break a couple of times. Then, after dinner we all played a couple of games of Clue -- by the end of the second game I was pretty much over it and contemplating making a false accusation just to get out of playing anymore. I stuck it out until the end though. I had a lot of fun with the kids today, but I am very thankful that everyone is in bed now! LOL!

There were days that I felt like that when I worked at Victoria's Secret -- I would be so over trying to convince people to buy the matching robe to go with their new pajamas.

The monorail accident made my local news this morning. Just awful.

Yesterday was finally beautiful- thank goodness. Of course today is more of the same. The weatherman is saying "what a shame" to those who have to go to work today.

One of my all time favorite movies, I'm in a big Civil War kick right now and am thinking I might want to get the North and South miniseries...that could entertain me for days!!
