Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Morning gnomies! Today is my last Saturday event for my job so I need to get moving.

We got a letter home from the school yesterday informing us that there is a suspected case of swine flu in our town. Luckily, they sent it to reassure that it is an adult with no children in the schools. I figured it was just a matter of time!

Sorry P that Allison is stressing over this! I love schools and teachers but every now and then, even I get upset. For example, Patrick recently must have been given a lesson in choices and behavior; Patrick is in charge of Patrick and other kids are in charge of themselves. Good lesson in peer pressure right? OK, fine, until...he comes home and doesn't like what I ask him to do. Then he tells me that he is the boss of himself and he doesn't have to listen to me, he can do what he wants to....Um, NO

Oh CP, tornado sirens? I hope the spring weather ends soon for you!

Good luck to Allison this weekend!

I'm off to have some coffee and get ready for work...toodles!

That's what I told, Charles, last night. Oh, and I found out yesterday that I will be losing extended day pay next year which is about $5,000 off my salary. That is going to hurt -- mainly in the Disney trip realm. :headache:

What are your plans for today, LL?
Oh, that stinks, CP!

I don't hvae anything really planned. Marc is going to the Bachelor party and I want to make Jen & I's tees. This is my last weekend before the trip with NOTHING planned for myself so I plan to use it to get a bit more organized.

Hehehe, I have to giggle at Patrick. You think they'd put a disclaimer in that lesson. :rotfl2:

Good luck to Allison this weekend, P! Let us know how she does! :goodvibes

So, I didn't spend a lot of time hanging out on the swine flu thread yesterday, because we ended up with a tornado warning while I was at my parents' house last night! Totally unexpected as the storms were just supposed to be severe, not tornadic. :headache: More expected today -- my poor psyche has taken a beating between H1N1 and storms.

We were supposed to go to the Farmers' Market today, but that's out because of the weather. Blagg!

OTTV, Jackie! More tornado warnings? And no Farmers' Market? That stinks!

Argh. That REALLY stinks. :headache:

:lmao: Smart kid, you have there, Katie! :lmao:

Yes, LL, what is up for the weekend? Are you making t-shirts yet? :hyper:

Morning my gnomies!

CP- oh, your poor nerves! And pocketbook! Our entire health system was denied raises this year, and the upper management all took 10% pay cuts. It was a blow but I'm just thankful to have a job at this point.

Cool site for backgrounds, LL!

Katie, Patrick's story made me giggle.

P- Good luck this weekend! And I'm SOOO HAPPY you love your new job.

Jess & Christine- :wave2: G'morning!

Have a great day, ladies. I have a 1/2 day at work and then bills and groceries. Nothing to exciting this weekend, but next weekend is overbooked so I'll just hang out.

Our school system sent home a letter yesterday about swine flu -- reiterating the need to wash hands, etc. and stressing that there have been no cases of it in our county. I keep wondering if our family will be the ones to bring it back when we go to Disney.

Agghhh about Patrick and the lesson -- I am with LL, they should have said something about listening to your parents.

I hope the spring weather ends soon, too -- I am so over it. This has been a rough three months. They are saying that it should just be lightning, hail, and winds -- but they said that yesterday so now I don't believe them.

Oh, that stinks, CP!

Yes, it does stink.

Making tees sounds fun! Since we had to replace the hard drive on the computer with the printer, Charles has not hooked up the printer again -- I need to scan AK photos from our 2007 trip for my PTR, but I can't until he does it (which I have been asking him to do for about three weeks). :headache: I wonder how hard it would be to do. I may have to figure it out on my own.

OTTV, Jackie! More tornado warnings? And no Farmers' Market? That stinks!

We were really looking forward to it -- I was going to take the camera and everything.

I am just a bundle of various neurosis at this point.

I am thankful to have a job -- it could be so much worse.

Have fun taking it easy this weekend, Julez!

Have a good day at work, Julez!

Nope, haven't started making tshirts yet. I still need to wash one more. I am terrified I am going to mess them u p since I am making Jen's too.

Usually it's not too hard to hook up printers, CP. I bet you could figure it out! :thumbsup2

You made the ones last year and did a great job -- I am sure they will turn out fabulous!

I think I might have to try if Charles drags about it today. I need to do my weekend update!

Yes! I need to read your weekend update.

I'm debating how long I should let Marc sleep before I wake him up. He would sleep all day if I didn't wake him up.

Chelsea is currently having a melt-down because we aren't going to the farmers market -- who would have guessed that she was looking forward to it so much! Sigh.

10:00, maybe? What time did he go to bed?

Isn't it yucky outside though? Why would she still want to go?

We went to bed around midnight. I think his problem is that he gets too much sleep on his days off. His sleep schedule is so screwy with working overnight.

Yes, it is yucky, but I guess she doesn't like her plans disrupted.

Yeah, wake him up around 10:00 -- I don't know how he does it with working nights -- I would be a perpetual zombie!

I wonder who she gets that from? ;) :lmao:

It used to be a lot worse but then I finally convinced him that sleeping from 9AM to 8PM everyday after work was way too much sleep! He was a zombie the entire first year we dated. Now he sleeps about 7 hours and it is much better. I would have waken him up by now if it wasn't for the Bachelor Party tonight.

She must get it from her father! ;) :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Oh, yeah, he could probably use a little more so he can get through the bachelor's party tonight.

I am being so lazy and unmotivated this morning. I haven't budged from the computer since I got up.

Me either. I did balance my checkbook though. That's gotta count as something.

I'm debating if I want to go to Walmart to get a few things for my trip or not. :confused3

I counted feeding the dogs so balancing your checkbook definitely counts!

I need to do the grocery shopping but I just want to go back to bed.

Excellent. I did my update and now I am working on my list for Walmart.

Marc just woke up too. Ruby woke him up by scaling the window screen in the bedroom. She woke me up doing that at 4AM this morning. Little devil.

Our cats tend to do things like that, too!

You are showing more get-up-and-go than I am.

Yeah and then I watched my DVR'd episodes of Ugly Betty & 90210. :lmao: I am trying to work up the motivation to do my hair. I hate doing my hair, it's a struggle everyday. :rotfl2:

I finished morning chores and took a shower. I have been camped out in front of the computer since -- did a little update and watching weather radars. I had really hoped my travel documents would come today, but, alas, nothing but the phone bill.
