Okay. I am usually pretty level headed about this sort of stuff but I am starting to worry. In three weeks is it going to be worse and effect my trip? I know that is extremely selfish...but yeah...that is what I am worried about.

Okay, I will try to be the level-headed one -- can we say "ironic"? Anyway, this is my viewpoint on what I have seen and read so far (which is a LOT).

1. The CDC released information yesterday that this strain of flu is lacking the genes that made the 1918 flu so deadly.

2. Many of the cases we are seeing are in fact, people who went to Mexico and those that came in contact with those people afterwards.

3. Mexico says their cases are leveling out.

4. The number one preventions are washing your hands and sanitizing them.

I really think your trip will be okay -- it better be, because I am leaving two weeks after you!

And I don't think you are being selfish -- my top personal concern (I have global concerns, too) about swine flu is how it will affect my trip.

It doesn't help that VP Biden said he would tell his family not to fly right now.

I am sure you should be fine flying to Orlando and back -- you could always wear a mask .

Greg said he had a student return to his class on Friday after having been in Mexico. He said the kid seemed fine but isn't this virus one where you are contagious before you show any symptoms? I wonder how many parents will head to Disney during all of these unplanned "vacations" -- I think I saw a thread asking that very question.

I do think I read that you could be contagious beforehand without showing symptoms -- I have read so much though...

Yes, the season for Georgia tornadoes tends to be spring -- last year our last bad bout was Mother's Day weekend -- I hope it is almost over -- I am so emotionally battered this year -- I can't even enjoy spring because I am always worried about what the weather is doing. This year has been the worst EVER -- I had a meltdown today to Charles -- I don't like living in Dixie Alley anymore.

We get hurricanes sometimes but it's been awhile before a real serious one. Knock on wood. I think winter will be better for me this year since I am living so much closer to work and I can completely avoid the highway and all the crazy drivers. Phew.

I was surprised at how much it did follow the book, it wasn't perfect but better than I expected.

I think he's trying to drag you away from your weather radar. Marc is out boozin' it up. Bah. I love that he's out with his friends and cousins but I already spend 4 nights a week alone, I hate doing it on the weekends too. Boo.

He was trying to drag me away from the weather radar -- today is another day of strong and severe weather . I don't blame you about not wanting to be left alone on the weekends. At least it isn't very often.

Jess, the next Sookie book comes out on Tuesday. Then I saw on Amazon that the next one will come out in October. I am really intrigued about them. I might have to go out and buy it. But that is an easy read for me down in Disney. Hmmm... Oh and I love Alcide in the 3rd book.

It's overcast here today. My house is a disaster from me doing Disney stuff yesterday. I suppose I should tidy up. Marc just got home. Pffft. Men.
