Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

Buffalo Bill!! I couldn't think of his name

I have seen that movie a hundred times -- when I was in high school, and it came out, my best friend, Joyce, decided to become a criminal psychiatrist -- she is now a child psychologist. Anthony Hopkins is so great as Hannibal Lector.

Jen, which Jodi Picoult books did you read?

I hate Silence of the Lambs, I think I was too young when I watched it and it completely freaks me out. :scared1:

I was in college when that movie came out. I went to a lecture given by some feminist who was apalled in her speech that it had won the best movie emmy because it portrays violence against women. Come on! the hero of the movie is also a woman!!

Well, I have a meeting this afternoon but no other work I need to do today. I think I will take Daniel to the sitters in an hour or so and go to the store by myself...a rare treat indeed!

I don't think I would be able to start a pin collection. I would get WAY out of hand. I got sucked into beanie babies when I was little and now I have cabinet full. And I could totally see doing the same thing with the pins :rotfl:

LL- how scary! There's a security expert who talks about "the gift of fear" and that it's instinctual in all animals but only humans ignore it for fear of being rude. I think you did the right thing!!

Oh, Beanie Babies. I still have a bunch of them in the boxes of stuffed animals I have at my parents. :lmao: One of my nicknames growing up was Beanie or LallieBean so my Aunt Heidi had a heyday buying me beanie babies. She still calls me Beanie Baby when she emails me. :lmao:

I think I did the right thing too. The more I think about it. Sure, he was probably harmless but I am not going to become a statistic or a story on the news! :thumbsup2

Holy crap Julez!! 8 pounds already? How did you do that? You make me want to run and change my ticker too :rotfl2:

Well ladies..I just applied for my first real job. I have no idea if I'll even end up in the Virginia Beach area, but I'm kinda thinking we will because Blake has a potential job offer at NASA where he's worked for a while. It's for a Senior Aquarist position at the Virginia Aquarium. Not sure if I'll get it or if I'll accept it, but couldn't help but apply right? :thumbsup2

That's exciting Jess. My Mom always told me not to make someones decision for them. If you don't apply, you decide you wont get the job...it never hurts to try.

Oh good luck!!! That sounds like a fun job!

Good Luck, Jess! How exciting that you are applying for jobs. :woohoo:

Is this week dragging by for anyone else?
It's taking for e v e r r r r r r to get to the weekend.
Bah!

MIL invited us to lunch with Marc's grandmother on Mother's Day....15 minutes after FIL told Marc he scored Bruins Playoff tickets for Mother's Day and was planning on taking MIL. :lmao: So FIL is trying to find out what time the game is. Nothing like taking your wife to a hockey game on Mother's Day.

It is dragging -- horribly so! I can't believe that it is only Wednesday and there are still two more days left until the weekend! Yick. :sad2:

Charles took me to a Georgia Tech football game on my birthday the second year we were dating -- he didn't do it again. :rotfl:

I think this is what happens when you live for the weekend. "everybody's working for the weekend...." :3dglasses

Yeah. I told Marc no sporting events for birthdays/anniversaries/etc. :lmao:

Or is it that we are waiting for a couple of vacations that are getting pretty near???

I want to hit the 30-day mark so I can start putting stickers on my countdown calendar.

Oh, and Charles told me today that we would not be endangering our children's lives if swine flu becomes rampant at Disney. Is it unethical to not mention any news reports that may have to do with WDW??? :rolleyes1

The vacation countdown could be making it take a little longer than normal.

Not unethical at all. It will be all under control in a few weeks, I am sure of it. :thumbsup2

I hope so -- I was slightly cheered by the news that Mexico thinks new cases are leveling out -- between all my assorted paranoias these days, I am exhausted -- it's hard work keeping up with the weather and all the news stories and the CDC website!
