No trip to DLRP now....

Im soooo annoyed!! DH's car broke down on the way to work yesterday morning - his cambelt went when he was driving down the motorway ...going to cost around £780!!

Because he had to wait for the RAC to come and take a look at it and then get it towed back to a garage and get back home he was unable to get into work yesterday, although he did phone them several times.

So his manager has taken it as a days holiday so he no longer has enough days for us to go away again later in the year

Cars are soooo much hassle!! Getting in the way of my DLRP trip!

That's terrible news ~ Can't believe that your DH's boss would take a days holiday off him for that.

That's awful, I hate cars at the moment too. My wife's car broke down last week and we had to pay £315 for a new clutch - that was supposed to pay off most of our holiday but now that will come out of the extra money I got for working a aweekend exhibition which was supposed to be spending money - if that makes any sense at all!?

Thats terrible news I can't believe the boss made him take it as holiday, even my job would not do that and thats saying something.

His boss does seem like a bit of a dragon!! I just think its unfair because when we had all that snow and loads of people "couldnt get in" they didnt ahve to take it as a days holiday
