NO PAT if taking DCL bus from Hyatt MCO?

I've read that if you are staying at the Hyatt Regency MCO and taking the DCL bus to the Port in the morning, you do not need to get a PAT when checking in (you will just get PAT once arrived at the Port), is this correct? and if so, can you complete the online registration if you do not enter in a PAT? thanks

The only time I have not entered a PAT was when we took the bus from a Disney resort. I think that's because you have no choice, you are picked up according to Disney's schedule. The Hyatt is different. You could choose to down and get on the first bus, or sleep in, have a late breakfast and get on a later bus.

We are staying at the Hyatt and taking the DCL bus this weekend. I still picked the earliest PAT I could (11am) when doing online check in just in case. I imagine we'll be there before then, but don't think we'll get a lower boarding number.

It seems to be mixed. Some people aren't given the option of a PAT and some are.

We weren't given the option of choosing a PAT when we did that, but some people indicate that they do choose one. I've no idea why it's inconsistent.

Best rule of thumb... if given the option to pick a PAT, do so. It's possible if you booked your pre-cruise stay through DCL that you won't need to select a PAT, but apparently that's hit or miss. Since your boarding number is directly tied to your PAT, it's in your best interest to select a PAT if that page is available to you when you do online check-in.

Enjoy your cruise!

^^ THIS ^^ is both my recommendation and experience. It appears to be if you booked the MCO Hyatt directly with DCL, you do not have the option of choosing a PAT and there is even a message that will display on the screen to advise this. If you see a PAT, by all means, definitely choose the appropriate one for you as noted, it's directly tied to your boarding time. From what I've gathered too, for those who did book the MCO Hyatt with DCL and didn't have the option of choosing a PAT, they still had a fairly low boarding number but that's just in the few people I sampled that question with :)

Although not the same location, I'm guessing DCL uses the same process: When we did our AK cruise this summer, we arranged the pre-night through Disney. We were not given the option to pick a PAT. When we got to the hotel we were told what time to meet in the lobby and we all left as a group. When we got checked-in we were given our boarding card with a nice number 2 on it. So if I had to guess, if you book a pre-night with DCL they give you boarding priority?

This was my experience also. I stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront the night before my Alaskan cruise and the MCO Hyatt the before my Bahamas cruise. Left my luggage in the room, went down in the morning for breakfast, and either walked over to the port in Vancouver or took the DCL bus in Orlando to Port Canaveral. Just remember waiting a short time in the terminal until my number was called.

Stayed at the Hyatt twice now before our cruise, taken the DCL transportation to port, and have always picked a PAT

If you've booked the Hyatt through DCL, and are taking DCL transfers - yes, you don't select a Port Arrival Time during your online check in process.

That being said, if during your online check in process you are prompted to select a time, I suggest you do so.
