I guess I must have missed this somewhere....but when did the Wonder stop sounding the ship's horn in Nassau? We haven't been on the Wonder since 2003....but they did it then.
Did they stop doing it because of the homes right across from the port??

This has me wondering as well...

Did not realize they had stopped. I have not been to Nassau on DCl in 2 years. Are you certain they have?

I haven't been on the Wonder in two years, either...and they were doing it back then...but I heard they had stopped, and I was curious.

 Just got back from a 3 day cruise on the wonder and they blew the horn leaving all of the ports :flower:

Great news! I was afraid that since there are homes across from the port, they might have stopped. Wouldn't be the same without the Mickey horn!!::MickeyMo

Someone posted on a live thread this week that they were granted the priviledge of blowing the horn leaving Nassau but the Captain told them that they normally don't do that.

We Know someone Who is on the Wonder Right now !!
And They actually got To blow The Mickey Horn As They Left Nassau Last Night.. :teeth:

Yes, I know. I saw that, and that's why I was asking. She had said that they normally don't do the horn in Nassau, and that they were letting her do it as an exception. That's what made me curious....I didn't know that they had stopped doing it.
I also didn't know that they issued a certificate for pushing the button, I hope she posts a picture of that! I bet everyone would LOVE to see it.
