According to allearsnet, "Restaurantosaurus at Disney's Animal Kingdom is now offering its own brand of chicken nuggets and french fries, rather than
McDonalds Chicken McNuggets and fries. In addition, starting
Wednesday, the counter service restaurant will begin offering a
new dessert menu and new children's meals."

I know my family is now disappointed. Yes I know that we can get McDonald's at home, but it had become our place to eat lunch at AK that we all enjoyed.

The nuggets I'm not so bummed about, but nobody does fries like MickeyD's. :guilty:

I am excited to see what kind of menu changes there will be. Since taking away Tusker House as a CS ....we are not that happy with the CS choices. We do like Flame Tree but are going in July and wanted place to cool down.

I can't say I am disappointed by this news. As the OP stated, we can eat McDonald's anywhere. I will be glad to check out the new menu.

Hey, I have an idea- put all of Tusker House's old CS menu there! I'd be a happy camper, since Tusker House was my very favorite CS in WDW.

Me too!!!! That would be sooo cool

good! I was disappointed to see McDonald's in Disney to begin with - if someone wants McDonald's - let them go when they are home- at Disney, there are so many great places to try - why get food that you can get at home- be adventuresome. And I kow there are some kids that will only eat certain things- My youngest is like that but she tried a bunch of different things & enjoyed them because we gave her no choice. Flame me if you want but that is my opinion!

Nice. As a vegetarian, I always despised the McDonald's fries. I mean, do fries really need beef flavoring in them? AK has always made it hard for a vegetarian to eat their CS.

I don't really care that they changed the food, but my kids liked getting the AK themed happy meal toys. For us it was a bonus... they ate lunch and got a souvenier!

Yay! Less generic, available anywhere food is a good thing in my book!

Maybe it's just me-but I think the AK has the worst dining options. Maybe they should start to consider changing all the menus at their restaurants. We have never eaten there and said-this was a great meal. The last 2 trips: mcdonalds or pizza-neither lets snack and have dinner somewhere else after the parade. I hope the new menus workout.

Consider yourself flamed. Why should you care what others try when they're on vacation? I would never eat anything from McDonalds at WDW, not my thing. But I don't care what anybody else does. And every person at McD's is one less at Flame Tree.

I agree. Ak has the worst eating options. About the only thing my DS would eat was the McD's nuggets and fries. Everything else was way to weird. I hope that they do have some kind of nuggets on the menu.

I agree. Since my kids don't like Flame Tree and I love it, it was easy to get happy meals for them and then all eat together.

HEY donaldtduck! I am originally from BG born there and lived there for 32 years. Just moved a couple years ago. I sure do miss home!

Oh sorry off topic.

I am neither sad or glad about the menu. I wish if they were going to have a McD's then let's have their burgers too not just nuggets and fries. I would like to see different burgers than the same ole burger you get from park to park.

I think this is great, however my DD4 could live on nothing but McDonald's nuggets and would be completely happy! Hopefully she does not remember that we found them there!
