No more chararcter dining at LTT???

I just read a couple days ago that the Character dinner at Liberty Tree will end as of next week!
That was always our favorite all around...... location, food, price, characters (love Chip & Dale!)
Anyone know why they have done away with it????
And.... did they replace it?
Sorry if this has all been discussed.... but I just found out. If you have a link to another thread that can answer my questions.... it would be appreciated.

The characters are indeed no longer at dinner. It's most likely due to the ability of WDW to cut costs by not paying character entertainment.
