I have tried twice today but have had no luck getting a discount applied to my current reservation for travel dates Feb 5-19/05 using code BDP. Even with playing around with the dates, nothing is available. The last CM I spoke to seemed more knowledgable than the other one, and he advised me that the full hook up sites get pretty full in February (lots of long stays) and there isn't much "wiggle room" to play with the ressies to get a discount.

** He advised that he can see that there are some partial hook up sites available for the discount (as of 2:30 pm today). Good luck if you are trying....

I'll keep my fingers crossed for more sites to be released in the future for discount (the CM advised that WD often "tests the water" with limited releases the first day, so keep on checking).

I know that the cabins and the campsites are different with respect to the discount codes but I'll post my experience with my cabin registration anyways in case it helps you. I had a res for 2/5 to 2/16 and had to change it to arriving 2/6 departing 2/17 - the res agent I spoke with told me that 2/5 arrivals were completely blocked out from using the discount code. Also, I had to make it two reservations - after she couldn't get the code to work even with arriving 2/6 she put me on hold for awhile and when she came back on the line she told me that the code was only valid for a 10 night maximum stay. So she made one res for 2/6 to 2/16 and one for 2/16 to 2/17. I wonder if it is the same for the sites?

Hope this helps some.

Christine...thanks for your input. The last CM I had on the line tried just that....changing my arrival dates, booking 2 separate reservations to juggle the blackouts, etc....no luck with any variation tried...Maybe there just aren't the same deals on the campsites for any offers that come out...

thanks again! Annette

I haven't had any luck getting an AP rate for 1st week of January (or any discount for that matter). I guess they have too many winter settlers to discount the sites. I have decided to book two all star rooms (5 people) and we will still come out paying less because we won't be paying about $700 r/t for fuel to pull the tt. We hate to not be able to camp but this trip will be mostly park time so we won't spend much time at the campground anyway.
Hopefully we can get better rates on our other 3 trips this next year!

That's a shame they don't apply the codes to more campsites. I just saved $721 yesterday applying the code to a cabin for the first week of Jan (1/3-1/10).

Maybe another code will come out next month. Keep looking!

I was able to use the BDP code for the first 10 nites (Feb 26-March 12) of my 14 nite stay on a Basic Site but have had no luck with either a AAA discount or the BDP code for the last 4 nights (Mar 8-12).

I had to do the 2 reservations .... first time for me. Have they been good about letting you stay on the same site for the second reservation?

VAN - i have done the two ressie during the same trip thing twice at the fort and didn't have to move from one site to another. You shouldn't have to do this.

- lori

by the way - i called today to try and get the BDP code for a campsite for a check in of March 5 thru March 13th. Nothing was available - the CM mentioned that the discount was only on the cabins. was she correct in that that discount code does not apply to campsites or was it avail on a very limited number of campsites and they are gone? I wonder.

Lori - I was advised by the last CM I spoke to that the discounts appeared to be only for the partial hook up sites.

Mary - Great deal on the cabins! I'm going to keep trying in case more spots open up!
