No longer going to disney!!!!

I think I need to bust out our DVD just for the fix!:hyper:

Well I enrolled in this thing for Airtran where you can earn air miles--it's part of the A+ rewards..and I ordered a Disney Planning video---hope it comes soon. How long do they normally take to arrive?

It took about 6 weeks for mine, but I ordered it in October so I'm not sure they were ready to be sent then. Hopefully yours will come quicker!

That's fine. I just wanted some kind of guestimate b/c it didn't really tell me. Just knowing we're going is enough for me.

So LATE last night/early this morning I'm stressing. Why you ask? Well I'm anxious to see the Extra Magic Hours for the parks in June. This will really determine where we go on which days.

We arrive on the 16th around 11:30. Will get to the hotel say around 1:00 and off to the MK we go. We'll probably eat dinner at Tony's Town Square and watch Spectromagic.

Now after this, we're not so sure. I'm thinking on Wednesday we eat breakfast at Tusker House and then ride the Kilimanjaro Safari afterwards. Beyond that, well I'm stressing about the FP's. I mean I REALLY, REALLY want to ride Everest and Dinosaur. But what I'll probably do is just get to the attraction when we get there and hope for the best. I don't want to worry about having to get to a certain attraction.

My other thing is that I really want to do some park hopping. Meaning, go to DHS in the morning and Epcot or MK for dinner. Most likely we'll eat dinner at MK or Epcot since they will be open the latest. Of course if DHS is open late for EMH we'll eat there for dinner.

Oh..I'm really stressing but shouldn't :)

My other thing is that I really want to do some park hopping.

We LOVE being able to park hop. What we do is usually head to one park, then go back to the resort in the mid-afternoon for a swim/relax and then head to wherever our dinner ADR is and then to whatever park for the night. Taking that mid-afternoon swim/relax really gives us a second wind!

I think that's what we might do too. Or one day sleep late and go to MK for the rest of the day. It's just so hard planning right now but I'm certain to get it right before too long.

Honestly, if you have TOO much planned down to everything you do for each day, the trip isn't going to be as fun. It's good to get an idea of what you want to see and do, but really it's important to relax...stop and smell the roses!

I know what you mean about the planning though. We have to book Cirque (a gift my DD9 received) and a shark swim at Sea World (DD11's gift), but I can't do that. I'm so annoyed.

You're right tink--I can't plan TOO much or else I'll be worried about not getting everything done. But I'd like to have some kind of plan :)

Sorry to hear that Sharlon--I'd love to have time to visit Sea World.

Okay...so I'm reading about a teacher discount for The Dolphin and Swan. I called the Dolphin and was told we had use of EMH's and WDW Transportation. The onlything we don't have is the Magical Express or Dining Plan.

So, I did some calling around and inquired about a rate quote..For June 18 and 19 it's $189.00 a night and June 20-28 it's $129.00 a night..how awesome is that?

Well, I came up with an average (and I use that term loosely) of around $100 a day for meals..plus or minus of course. But with airfare and tickets it's less than staying at POP w/ the deluxe dining plan. After all you pay for your meals in advance. And to be quite honest I'm not a big breakfast eater so we'll take granola bars and such. This will save us $$$.

Our dilemma is this: We stay at POP, deluxe dining plan, flight and tickets OR stay at a MUCH nicer hotel, but not dining plan!!!

I guess we'll figure it out once I've done the math if you will :)

I've always wanted to stay at the Swan and the Dolphin. They just look so pretty. I think you'll be fine without the dining plan. We didn't use it in June and we did fine. To me there are only a couple differences. When you pay OOP and are on a budget, you may choose a menu item based on price. With the DDP you can choose any item that is covered on the plan without looking at price. Also, when paying OOP, you might leave off dessert to save money. With the DDP it comes with dessert. It just depends on whats important to you.

Okay..so you're probably wondering why my countdown ticker has changed? Well simply: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY IN APRIL What you ask? Why April? :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

Well we were able to get the 4/3 deal but staying from April 3rd-12th. Why sooner than later? A couple of things. One (we got the 4/3 deal) Two (it's cooler in April) and Three (Space Mountain will STILL be open).

Well crowds don't bother me so much..that's to be expected. And with the EMH's that will help too. I've got it all planned out, which day and which park :) I was SOOOO glad the EMH's were up but they don't go beyond late April.

Wow! This sounds great. :cheer2: Congrats on getting to go early. I bet April is a perfect time of year to go. I actually think my in laws will be there sometime in early April. The childrens miracle network films for the telethon in April and my FIL is the head anchor for our local tv station. He goes down with his family every year to cover it. It sounds like fun right? I thought so too until DH told me he never got to go to the parks when he was younger (during the telethon trips) because his mom wanted to lay out at the pool. She doesn't like the parks. :crazy2: Oh and they even got free tickets to the park that is hosting the telethon that year.

I had forgotten about that. When is it in April? I can't remember..but I've never been in April to WDW. The earliest I've been is May. And the weather will be much nicer.

Yeah, I've got the schedule pretty much ironed out, well for the most part. I'll tweak it along the way though. Of course these schedules aren't set in stone...just the ADR's :)

I'm looking forward to trying new places.
