No Lie Disney Dream Review

No... That is a bit twisted of a comment... bathing has no close relation.
Drunk driving, Alcohol poisoning, Kidney disease, and many other "PROVEN" medical issues with alcohol are why I don't want my child subject to alcohol. I know that in all reality there are people out there that have diseases (God bless you, and hope you are well.) But... There are others out there that point the blame finger in multiple directions, and that's a fact. The exhaust on your car can kill quicker than a drink, or a cigarette. This is a mute point obviously. Most parents that are alcoholics feel it is ok to "Influence" their innocent children. We don't smoke in the house, or around our child. There are so many things that are killing everyone these days that everyone needs to realize that it is our lives. I don't criticize alcoholics. I do speak my peace when companies take the money side of things over anything else. How about letting the alcoholics drink in a corner of the boat. Segregate them and we can talk.

Don't you mean it is a "moot point"? I am by no means the spelling or grammar police ( I make enough of my own mistakes) but I feel that since you are a 'professional blogger' that I must hold you to a higher standard. :worship:

I'm guessing by some of your other comments that you and your spouse smoke. I am starting to suspect that you are projecting with all this talk of adults being able to drink on board.

OK..."Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult." Reads the sign.
Parents don't supervise their children as they should because sometimes they are just as ignorant.

In your review you stated that the sign read they must be 'supervised' by an adult. Which is it?

I personally found the review very uncomfortable to read. While I appreciate the effort I feel as if the OP and I would not have the same view on most things in life so I will look elsewhere for info.:confused3

As far as the pool size, somebody somewhere made a good point regarding the weight of the water and amount of water that could slosh out. I don't know if the info is accurate, but it sounds reasonable. I would think that the pool would be as large as possible considering how much water weighs. And, I'm sure there has to be some consideration to the amount of water that could sweep someone into danger should the ship hit rough water?

Agreed. 100% :thumbsup2

OP Wow do you need a lesson in the ramifications of cigarette, cigar and other types of tobacco in regards to the ill effects they cause. Cancer is only one. Check with your local pathologist on this one.

Thank you for your report!! It does take time to come on..post.. and there are many helpful points that will help cruisers in their search for their next cruise. I am surprised that there are no omelette stations?? I thought I had read that there were some but well hidden around another corner of the restaurant...
I can NOT eat their version of scrambled eggs and rely on that omelet!! :)

Also, I think it will do me good to find a good location for a room! I walked soo much on our last cruise (up and down stairs 90% of the time) that I inflamed a muscle on my stairclimbing leg that still hurts 4 weeks later!! Which parts of the ship are the majority of restaurants/theater on? I'm wondering if an aft or forward room would be better...I just need to start taking steps now to get that muscle some relief! :) Also, a tip for those who do take stairs all the time, lead off with a different leg each time or you'll be hurting!! :)

Go through all the press releases and info from Disney...
They said that the pools were larger to accomodate everyone.
These pools are round, and have a sitting area going around the outside of them that is almost pointless. They should have made that swimming area.

I was also on the 4/10 cruise and I must say, I found the amount of people in the pools on the Dream the same as what I have experienced on both the Magic and Wonder. These pools are not intended for "swimming" but more for cooling off.

Bolding mine:

Being a blogger I see more than a good percentage of other bloggers posting "excellent" reviews which is why bloggers are legally bound to scrutiny, and most don't follow that either. Most that receive things to review do lie. I have worked with hundreds of companies, and my reviews arfe dead on. In regards to smoking/alcohol... In NJ kids cannot sit at bars where tables are present. At waves many parents allowed their kids to sit there. Smoking is what I would like my kid to do rather than drink if she ever does either. Alcohol is PROVEN to be a killer. Smoking is attributed to cancer, but nothing solid has ever been proven in all reality. Everything I write is fact. Disney has received many complaints about the pools. 4000 people and the pools are smaller than the Magic or the Wonder.
I spoke to many people to see their response and everyone said I was pretty darn close to the bullseye on my thoughts.
Here...in case anyone is upset about the SUGAR COATING statement... A real large amount of people have given false opinions about certain aspects of the ship. Maybe they didn't review things as thoroughly to give their impressions. If you are a travel agent then I say no more.

Ok... this made me LOL. "Bloggers are legally bound to scrutiny"... by who? The International Bloggers Association? The sacred oath of the blogger? The strict licensing process you had to go through to become a blogger? A blogger is anyone who can create a free account and type some random thoughts down. I could take all my posts here and throw them up on tumbler or wordpress and call myself a blogger.

OK, so the OP hasn't helped me at all. Are we all supposed to cancel our cruise now? I think not! Talk about negative. If someone has a difficult time on a cruise the best help would be to give helpful hints. "False opinion"...:confused3. I am still very excited about my cruise! Everyone will have a different experience and have different expectations. I am just thrilled I have the opportunity to cruise with my family.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: I think it's called the Federal Bureau of Blogger Inspections or FBBI. :happytv:

Let's hope she doesn't have the nerve to pick up a glass of champagne on her wedding day. :rolleyes1

IMO, the OP has taken a review of the ship and turned it into a platform for less drinking/more smoking. Maybe he would have had a better time if he could have filled his lungs with smoke more often on the cruise?

Personally, if I'm sitting 10 feet away from someone enjoying a beverage, it doesn't affect the quality of my cruise. If someone is smoking 10 feet away from me, it causes my eyes to water and nose get stuffy....same with my children.

I'm curious if perhaps the OP is a doctor? He seems to know a lot more than the general public about the effects of alcohol and smoking. :confused3

No WAY OP is a doctor. He states alcohol abuse is linked to kidney disease, in reality alcohol abuse is linked to LIVER disease...Not to mention all of the goofy fake factiods regarding smoking...

Thanks for the review. Although I may not agree to some of the things the OP said, I do share the sentiment on the pirate night and the pool deck. We have only cruised twice with DCL - Wonder and Dream, both doing 4-nights Bahamas. We had more fun on the Dream. Having said that, I missed many things on the Wonder. Maybe because that was our first DCL and everything there (e.g. sail away, firework, characters, etc.) hold a special place in my memory. I loved the space and technology and Aquaduck on the Dream, but I also miss the intimacy and traditional feeling on the Wonder. I felt the food on the Dream was actually better than what we had on the Wonder, but I missed Triton. I missed the Wonder's sail away party and pirate party. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe it is the soul of the DCL Wonder (or Magic for that matter) that I find lacking on the Dream. I don't know.

I will go back to my roots, and sail the Wonder, or the Magic whenever possible. At least those ships weren't presented as cutting edge, and ending up being a big disappointment to us. Being this cruise was booked with DVC I have no way of receiving any customer service for the level of pleasure that we expected, but did not receive.

I can't believe that no one commented on the last line. Maybe I am wrong in assuming that you really mean compensation where you said customer service. Were you really serious about seeking compensation for you disappointing trip?

I already asked.

I was ignored.

Let me know how that works for you. I bet your child will become a drinker. Once a drinker you never can tell if it is responsible drinking or habitual drinking.

you have some severe issues....I bet all your table mates needed more than one to deal sitting ith you!!

oh and did you know prior to cruising......that DCL lets you bring on ----- YEP ----bring on alcohol?????

You are right, but in my defense I was typing from my cell phone, and missed that.
