We are only going to MK once this holiday. Logged on this morning to book our FP's at 30 days out but there are none for 7 Dwarves. Can't believe it, thought we would be able to get some at that time of year. Disappointed.

Not sure if this will make you feel any better but I just logged on at 12:01 60 days out from our trip which is the earliest you can reserve FP+. While actually waiting for my selection to process for the 7MT, all the fast passes for the day disappeared. They go that quickly. I was able to jump to the 2nd day and quickly reserve.

My suggestion since you didn't get a pass is to try to go to it either during lunch time or especially during the parades and/or fireworks. The crowds tend to be less then. Good luck.

Yes, unfortunately it is that difficult to get a 7DMT FP+ reservation. If you go at rope drop, your wait should be pretty minimal.

When are you going? we are there 20/10 to 03/11

We have jiggled our plans a bit so I am going to cancel one of our 7DMT FastPasses - I will send you a PM perhaps I can cancel at a convenient time so that you can slot in our spot?

Thanks everyone. If we can't sort a FP in advance then fingers crossed we can get to it sharpish and not queue for too long.

Have PM'd you Zoe x

When we were there in August the wait time at RD seemed to be reasonable, perhaps 20 minutes if you speed walk over there! Also, late at night the line was much more reduced, and of course, during the night-time entertainment.

I've also read that other DIS posters have said that the stated wait time can be inaccurate, and the actual wait time is much lower, so that's worth bearing in mind.

I would also keep trying to get the fastpass. Are you going a certain day or just any one day? If so have a few days open and just refresh every so often, it really does work. Also try booking one fastpass at a time then copy it over.

In fairness i haven't heard a single person say that 7DMT is a MUST DO, its like everyone is clambering over it because its new / hard to get - rather than they actually want to do it.

Its like alot of things at disney, because its harder to do everyone rushes for it giving it yet more hype. Not read any particularly great reviews. From what i ve heard BoG is the same!

Ok, well that makes me feel a bit better!! If we get on it then great and if we don't, then so be it! There's plenty of other things to do.

I posted this tip on another thread but here goes, this is how we got them in the end.

Search every day for 1 FP, not your whole family. Book that one and then search for another 1 on the same day at roughly the same time, i.e. first FP is at 4-5, second might be 4:10 - 5:10pm and so on.

It's really time consuming but because no one 60 minute time slot has enough FP for your family it won't offer you anything. Splitting the party into smaller chunks might find a lot more availability.

The same can be true for Anna and Else although that never worked for us in August and we had to do rope drop dash to see them.

good advice - there will be six of us so i suspect il have to do this for a few popular FP's

Me and my eldest DD absolutely loved it, its freakily fast and smooth at the same time, just a really nice ride and on the list for next year. We'd consider it a must-ride.

Just so there is some balance :)
