NO Flash Photography!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, nothing against folks from other countries but these people did not speak english (or at least maintained they didn't). At least two members of the group were taking flash photos off of opposite sides of the boat (and another was videotaping when I turned to steal a glance). The rest were squealing loudly and hootin' and hollerin' in spanish the entire ride. It really ruined the atmosphere.

Just a funny story about those from other countries. We were on Universe of Energy (blame my kids..they like it) and when the vehicles started to move in the dark, the lady behind us started screaming in spanish and kept using the flash on her camera to see. She even got up and was going to climb out of the ride. Finally hubby (who is from Peru so quite fluent in spanish and also knows portuguese) turns around and tells her "It's completely safe. We're going zero miles per hour!!"

She didn't shut up the entire ride. Wanna talk about torture....45 minutes of that.

Now, we have been on PoTC a gazillion times, so not a big deal for us. The family from the front row however refused to dismbark the boat after the ride, instead telling the cast member that the group in the rear "took flash photography the entire ride" and matter of factly informed the CM at the ride exit that they were remaining in the boat and riding through again.

It was about this point we reached the motorized walkway so I do not know for sure if the CM made them get out, but I did linger by the shop entrance and did not see them come through. I'll tell you what, I would have love to ride through the backstage area between the ride debark/embark areas! I was wishing I had refused to get out too!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Funny thing about the POC ride. After you exit, the boat goes up a ramp and under a steel rod. Anyone still in the boat would either: have to duck, or, get decapitated. It might be worth it to just let them go through!:rotfl2:

 LMAO...guess they had to get off!!!!;)

Simple solution to a major problem,,,,just have everyone,,and I mean everyone check their bags, backpacks, etc,,at the load area to the attraction, that way they are getting on empty handed,,,,,no camera,,,no pics,,,FLASH especially,,,,amen.

I agree if they have a no flash rule then they should have ppl leave their bags in a safe zone. I know going on rollercoasters at other parks you can't bring anything on with you for your own safety and the way everyone seems to be saying how awful the flash is on these rides it just may be for their own safety that these ppl leave their cameras behind lol! I hope my first experience at WDW doesn't get ruined by someone ignorant:confused3

Cell phones have camera's and fit in a pocket. I doubt ANYONE would "check" their cell phone.

But, what I want to know is, do camera phones have flashes?
:lmao:

My husband and I got blinded repeatedly on Thunder Mountain back in January. We were riding at night and someone 2 seats ahead of us wanted to take pictures of her friends/family sitting behind her/in front of us during the ride. It was awful. I wound up keeping my eyes closed for the whole ride because I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to reach up and grab that camera out of her hands.

Please, a little courtesy of your fellow guests!!

...no pictures, no videos, no children that dare make a noise, no talking, don't sit in front of me if you're tall, you smell bad, you shouldn't use a stroller/wheelchair/ECV, you inhaled too deeply causing the whole ride vehicle to shift and ruin my whole experience...

Generally speaking, to hear the way some people describe it, I don't think they would be happy unless they were the ONLY ones in the park. :duck: Honestly, I don't know how people these days are able to leave the house without having a nervous breakdown and assuming the fetal position.
:lmao:
I love it!:thumbsup2
