No dog scans?

Well, there are PET scans...

Laurie :wave2:

This afternoon I had a CAT Scan and I sure didn't hear any meowing in there. ;)

I do find it interesting how some people call it a CT scan and others call it a CAT.

Because there was LAB work long before there were CAT scans.

CAT = Computed Axial Tomography
CT = Computed Tomography
Same thing. Just less wordy.

Does anyone remember when MRI scans were called NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)??? Since the word Nuclear is politically incorrect, the medical industry relabeled them MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). Same thing. Just less scarry.

Good one!!!

Even though I do know what it means I still find it amusing that within the same office they don't referr to it as the same thing.
