No Buy June

OK my weakness is eating out at lunch. So I would like to put that to a stop. I am vowing to bring my lunch everyday for the rest of the month. This also includes my DH, but he doesn't know it yet. I figure we can easily save $50/week let alone how many calories we will save! I will have to start tom. b/c we didn't plan on today and we need to buy a few things at the grocery store tonight. Wish me luck - I've tried before and made it only about a week. I'll keep you posted!!

Wendy
Wendy, just want to send you some moral support on this one! I used to eat out for a lunch a lot too, but when I started my new job at the beginning of this year I vowed to bring my lunch every day. It's hard when all of your co-workers are ordering Chinese food, getting pizza, etc. But I've done really well so far, I only eat out maybe two or three times a month. I don't know how much money this has saved me but I'm sure it is a lot. Not to mention that I eat healthier when I bring my own. And now that I bring my own on most days, I don't feel guilty on the few occasions when co-workers want to go out for a sit-down lunch for a birthday, etc. & I spend $10-15. I figure $10-15 divided out over the whole month for lunches is not bad. :)

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I hadn't found this until today so I am starting now. Will post tomorrow to let you know how today turned out but so far I'm at $0.:)

omigosh I just realized it was my first $0 today! :cool1: Looks like DH isn't going to get his shirt until tomorrow, I need a zero day!

Next week we work on the FD tee shirts, I still am looking for a Michael's 40% off coupon...

Next week I'll be working a 30+ hour week and training my replacement while the girls are at dance camp, it's gonna be busy, I hope too busy to shop!

DH will be switching from fulltime to contract for 3 mo in July, and that's going to mean a WHOLE new budget and allocation and gaw who knows what else (like COBRA for insurance). I need to do some homework...

oh yeah we decided not to go to Disney b/c we're nervous about the whole job switch thing. May spend 2 days in HH if the 1 night studio opens up, that'll be under 200 for everything if it works out.
