LOL $4 left is amazing when you see how much I've gone over on my budget this month :scared1:

Don't feel so bad, we all have months like that, and you get a do-over....February. It's the perfect month to succeed. It's short, it's cold so we don't go anywhere. I can't wait for February! :goodvibes

caster jj11: Don't feel bad. You can make up for it in February. I think overall we did spend less than our previous months, so that's a step in the right direction. Our dog got injured and his knee is completely blown out. Very expensive, but he's only 10 years old so we figured we would do it. In a few months he'll have to have surgery again to remove this huge fatty mass on his abdomen.

I'm increasing my Netflix to 4 movies, so we can stay in more. Make menu's for eating in to save money. I told DH we should eat beans and rice to make up for that huge vet bill. I can't wait till February!

I had the day off, so I ended up at a job interview. They only called me yesterday, so I wasn't really prepared and I'm not sure I want the job. I really didn't want to go...so to reward myself for going I rented a wii game and dvd, bought some popcorn and a also a milkshake. :) Now I'm happy and I think I can make it to my next payday without spending.

I'm so glad I joined this, it has helped keep me on track, well kind of, still need to cut back on the eating out and misc shopping, but I think about my purchases more!!! Thinking twice before I push that complete button on the computer:).

Today was another $0 day for me and I consider one yesterday too, though that is in the eye of the beholder, but counting it I am at 12 $0 days... 3 more to go!

So yesterday DH and I went out on a date. We went to Unos using the insiders coupon. We got free appitizers and I had steak and DH had a fajita pizza. The bill with the coupon was $10.50, we left $15 total including tip. On the way out we got 2 coupons for $5 off our meal next time.

I had bought a shirt last week that didn't fit my DD. I took it back last night and got back $17.87 so I figure we had a $0 date. Even if it doesn't count it's OK with me, a date with my DH ws just what I needed last night. I have been subbing for a friend at pre-school this week, teaching all week long since she has been sick. I will have made $100 extra by the end of the week so :cool1: but I needed a night away from kids!

Do you guys remember in the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" when Jimmy Stewart takes the $2.00 that's left and puts it in the vault to see if it will reproduce. It doesn't work. :rotfl: My $4.00 leftover food money is now down to $2.00. DH needed a couple of dollars. I need the end of this week to come fast so I can say that I made it with money leftover. :lmao:
