I have all my MUST DO restaurants ready for evening ADRs. But, I thought it might be fun to try the teppanyaki dining room for lunch. I can't make an ADR, because I have NO idea when we'll be ready for lunch or what day. Do you think I'll have problems getting in for lunch the week after Labour Day weekend?

Thanks for the advice!! :thumbsup2

I don't think so, but who knows? I would assume that the parks wouldn't be overly crowded that week. I would imagine just about all schools have started by then (we start that Thursday), and I know I would never plan a vacation right at the beginning of the school year.

I would just go by and see if you can get in. Just don't get your hopes up, and you won't be disappointed if you don't get in. I've always thought of that restaurant as one of the more obscure Epcot restaurants, and especially for lunch I would be surprised if you couldn't easily get in.

Could you call Disney dining the morning you are going to Epcot? If not, I think you might get in especially if you're trying for either an early or late lunch.:earsboy:

Thanks for the advice!

I think we'll try to wing it, and we won't be disappointed if we can't get in since we've been to teppenyaki dining restaurants before!

Thanks again! :teeth:

On my cell phone. I have the number on speed dial, and as soon as we figure out which park we are going to be at, we decide where to eat lunch and then call. Mind you we dont usually do sit down lunches, but I have had good luck getting Sci-Fi and also Le Chefs de France, and Hollywood Brown Derby.

I don't think it will be too bad that week. I would bet the week before will be worse, because some school systems dont start back to school till the week after labor day, but I think almost all schools go back by then! We will be there the 10th-16th ourselves, staying at Pop!

You'll be there during free dining. If you want to eat dinner without an ADR, forget it. Lunch, however, should be easy since everyone seems to save their TS credits for dinner (more perceived value, apparently).

Depends if the place is popular.

At lunch - if you had no ADR, they turned away people from Crystal Palace, Cindy's, LTT last week.

Also needed ADR's for Hollywood and Vine dinner.

We were able to eat lunch at 1:30 pm , DTD, Planet Hollywood, witour an ADR.

RFC in AK was busy - even with a Safari card we waited 30 minutes for a table.

The week we went to WDW, the only WDW resort which had any rooms left was Y/BC. So yes, we went on a week which was packed with people - maybe just like Easter and Christmas weeks.

Decide the night before - call 55 on your WDW resort phone before 10 pm the night before. You could also try calling 55 at 7 am the day of - but you will be competing with other guests who may be making ADR's 180 days in advance :)
