I love Escobar there is just something so cunning about him. Like the time in season 1 when Sean came to his house to kill him and Escobar was lifting weights and he knows why Sean is there but in total left field starts talking about how great 80's music is.

Hello everyone, I just saw this thread, and had to reply. I just started watching Nip/Tuck to see what all the "hype" was about, and I am loving it so far!! I have even convinced dh to watch it with me, and he is hooked too! The first episode I saw was when Rosie O'Donnel won the lottery, and I am slowly starting to figure out storylines.

Can someone please tell me, though, who is Matt's dad? Shawn or Christian? Dh and I can't figure that out!

Also, after last night's episode, we were totally lost as to who Escobar is- is that an easy one to fill me in on, or is that a long story??

Christian is Matt's biological Dad ( he had an affair with Julia), but Sean has raised him and Matt still calls Sean "Dad" and Christian "Christian".

Escobar, IIRC, was smuggling drugs into the country in girl's breasts implants and he brought the girls to McNamara/Troy and started manipulating Sean and Christian into removing the drugs, etc. I think it was 2 seasons ago, he asked Sean and Christian to give him a new face so that he could leave the country and be a "free" man. Sean and Christian thought they were "smart" and gave him the face of one of the FBI's Most Wanted and Escobar was promptly arrested at the airport. I've probably missed bits and pieces, but that's the gist!

Escobar lit himself on fire (using the story that the face they gave him was that of a child molestor) so that he could go back to McNamara/Troy to get his old face back; then obviously he planned to kill the guards etc and be free again. He blackmailed the guards and the warden with promises of drugs and all that Escobar stuff

Absolutely! It was awesome, I'm actually going to watch it again. I'm so glad they are back to Season 1 greatness. And as much as Escobar truly scares the crap out of me, I love the character.

Can't believe it's been over a month since we posted about this. What did everyone think of the finale tonight? I thought it was pretty good. Escobar still scares the crap out of me so I'm relieved that he's gone now. Next season should be interesting in LA. I'm assumming they're there permanantly now. Does that mean that Matt and Kimber won't be back. I wonder about Liz. Very interesting.

Okay, I have watched Nip/Tuck on & off for several seasons now. I regularly just get grossed out, or ticked off & just quit watching. I haven't caught one show this season! DH is not into any longer (actually thinks it pretty freaky). !! Where are they in the season? If I wanted to catch it should I start now or just for get about it??

I swear, I'm starting to rely on the Dis. ? ! I can't seem to make a decision without help!!!!

I am kinda ticked that the season lasted only three months....we won't be seeing any new ones until next September?????!!!! That's crazy!!

Shovan this season was very good. Just like season 1. I stopped watching about halfway through season 2 (hated the whole Ava thing) and started up again with Season 3 and the Carver. Absolutely HATED the way the carver storyline ended and, to me, made that whole season a waste of time. But Season 4 was phenomenal. You should try to catch it on reruns or get the DVD when it comes out.

Tink, I think all of FX's shows are short seasons. But at least they are all played back to back.

I could have done with out the music video approach that was taken at the end but it was a great episode otherwise.

I love last night's show!! And, in some weird way I like the "music video" thing they did at the end- kind of connected all the characters nicely. I do hate the fact that there won't be any new shows until next Sept- this is the first season I have watched, and I am hooked! (Anyone else think Christian is hot?) lol

I wondered (like some of you) what will happen to the rest of the characters- will Matt and Kimber (and the baby) still be part of the storyline? How about Liz? I like her character. Also, is Julia completely gone from the show since her "move" to New York?

Could be interesting in LA- maybe the Doctor 90210 guys will make a guest appearance

I was really disapointed in the finale last night. It just didn't seem to have the usual "wow" factor of a Nip Tuck Finale. The only "cliffhanger" I saw was will Sean and Christian stay in LA?
It seemed to me that they set the episode where they may not put it back on air next year.
Did I miss something? Any thoughts?
