Hey - I'm lost and don't know what to tell my DD. She received Nintendogs for Christmas and had played with it non-stop. She had purchased two puppies (I guess I'm saying that right). Well, a week ago, she was put on restriction, and the Nintendogs game was part of it, so it has sat on the shelf for a week. She opened it back up last night to play, and her two puppies that she had purchased had "ran away." She was so upset, but I told her that she shouldn't have disobeyed in the first place. So, she has her original puppy - but now the game won't let her enter any competitions. It keeps giving a message that you can only enter three competitions a day. ???? She hasn't played with it at all, so what gives?? I tried working with it but can't find anything to that will fix that "three competitions a day" message. Can anyone help?

I found a Nintendogs forum and someone else asked the same question and did not find much help. This was the longest reply:

Hey tictactoe98, are you stil having that trouble? Cos I had it once too. For me, I left the game aone for 1 day without touching the competition button and it became right again.

And please answer this question truthfully-are you setting the time forward so that you can take part in competitions about 10 times in one day? Cos if you do that the game would not let you take part in competitons, like what happened to you. I know because my cousin tried that with my game and that happened.

Not that I'm accusing you, but that's another possibility on why this happened in the first place.

here is one of the forums I found:

hope that helps...

That's kinda discouraging. :sad1:

In the event that I do have to reset and just let her start all over again, how do I even do that?? I kinda looked for that when I was trying to help her fix it but couldn't even find a way to do that.

Sorry, do not have that answer either. Could be a reset for the individual dogs game or something for the hardware itself.

I did find a walkthrough for N-dogs, if you join you can downlad a PDF....

or just read it online.

I read my instruction book and it says that sometimes pups will sneak out and then return with a present. Give it some time and they might come back.

As for resetting the entire game, press and hold ABXY L and R all at the same time while the game is loading prior to the title screen appearing. But beware that you will erase ALL saved data and your puppies can never be recovered.

Well, it's fine for now. I told her to leave it alone for a day and see what happened. Well, that lasted all of about 2 hours  and she came back and said it was working again. Then a little while later, she came running back and said that her puppies had been found and they were at the hotel waiting for her to come get them. ?????? Don't have a clue about all of this stuff she's talking about, but she's having fun. :) So, all is well again in Nintendog land!
