Hi everyone!

Can you share your experiences with Nine Dragons? Would you recommend this restaurant, or is it nothing special and I should try something different?

My kids are all huge Chinese fans, so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks!!

Kelly

I went there a few yrs ago and It was good. Nothing special though but not a disappointment like Tony's was.

I thought i read some where it was closed for a refreb recently though? I could be wrong...

Enjoy!

I belive at the end of May this restaurant is scheduled for refurb through November of this year. Word is they're putting in an exhibition style kitchen, so you'll be able to see food being prepared.

That being said, I am very sad this will be closed when we go in September. For us, it is a must do every trip. It's reasonably priced, portions are huge, and food is yummy, yummy. The honey sesame chicken is the best I've had, and I'm picky about Chinese food. Now, is it truly authentic? To that, I have no idea, I just know DH and I love it! :goodvibes

Golly-I hope you don't miss it!! It's definitely one of our favorites:thumbsup2 They give you lots of food, too! If you are not on the dining plan 2 people could split-especially if you get appetizers!

Went there in 2003 and thought it was quite average so we haven't returned.
Maybe it has improved since then.

9 Dragons is one of our favorites too! The honey chicken is awesome, and my girls LOVE the red bean ice cream! Last summer we ate there 4 times! Yum! We were so disappointed when we found out it was going to be closed for refurb this trip! But....There is a 9 Dragon counter service set up right outside the pavilion and it has the exact same Honey Chicken and fried rice, and even the red bean ice cream! We were sooo excited! We sat on a bench by the lagoon and ate our food and enjoyed a little down time. We just got back yesterday, so as of now, it is still closed, but if it is open for your trip, I say don't miss it! And if it is closed, you can still enjoy the counter service!

We went a couple years ago and found it to be standard food and the place was filthy to the point of nasty. So the food may have been good had I not been so grossed out.

Food has been pretty good the past few times and even have a few items which are pretty authentic like the drunken chicken and a spicy noodle dish. I thought the kids meal was a good sized portion too and I do hope the refurb doesn't change the menu and the prices too much!

It is ok but nothing special. If you have a good Chinese restaurant(not a buffet) near you I would say it would be on par with that.
