we are thinking about dining here one evening for dinner. any thoughts, comments, observations? thanks:tongue:

Hello. We ate at the Nine Dragons in 2001. The food was ok. The price was about normal for a sit down restaurant in Disney. The service was excellent at that time. I have heard some complaints about the service since. It is an authentic chinese restaurant offering authentic chinese dishes; right down to the ginger ice cream for dessert.

ive ate here twice and never had a bad meal. brother(12) loves chineese and wants to eat here again.

Ate here this past Sept for lunch and dinner. Loved the food and loved the Dim Sum. Going again this year. We perfer lunch cause we enjoyed the lunch sampler for 2.

My husband and I had lunch their twice this past spring and loved it. The food is very fresh and the dim sums were very good. In fact, we will be enjoying lunch their in 3 weeks!:D

This is a "must do" every trip. DH and I go for lunch on our arrival day. We love the food and the waite staff. Food has always been excellent along with the service.

We love it there. They have the best honey chicken. Very fresh tasting too.. not like the to go places where I live. A+ in our book.

Oh we love Nine Dragons! Yes, the honey chicken is also a must... plus... our now 4 year old ate 2 bowls of rice. Everyone was happy!

Another vote for 9 Dragons. We eat here every trip.

I think Chinese is a "taste" thing. We have a favorite restaurant in a nearby town at home that we can't match any closer to our house.

DW and I have eaten there on our past two trips and have enjoyed it both times. Also, if there is such a thing at WDW, it is one of the more "reasonable" sit-down restaurants price-wise.
Enjoy! :D

and enjoyed both! The restaraunt was not crowded either time, and quite lovely. We ordered off the menu the first time, and had the unlimited lunch sampler the second (I don't think they offer this anymore). I think you can also get 10% lunch with an AP....but you might want to double check. We steer towards the character meals now with the kids, but would love to go back if they offered the unlimited lunch again!

We have never wanted to eat here. We get Chinese food locally and this restaurant did not get a plethora of great reviews......until lately. This year during our trip we were wandering around EPCOT looking for a place to eat. By default (we didn't have ressies) we wound up at Nine Dragons. What a meal!!!!! This was my favorite meal of the trip. I had the South China Chicken Curry and the chicken was easily the absolute best I have ever eaten. By all means, go and have a wonderful time. I heard that the restaurant got a new chef and that chef has turned the restaurant around. I don't know if that's true, but this restaurant was fantastic. I'm looking forward to eating here again next year. enjoy!

I've enjoyed all of the recent reviews! You guys are trying to make me change my ps's! ;)

My DH and I ended up at Nine Dragons because we neglected to make PS too and it was China or Morocco if we wanted to eat in Epcot. DH was not in the mood for Morocco so China it was. I was very hesitant because I had read nothing but bad reviews and we have excellent Chinese at home. I was pleasantly surprised and we are thinking about actually making a PS for this restaurant for our trip in Jan. We split sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork and both were excellent. Service was excellent and we did not feel rushed as I always do at Rose and Crown & Alfredo's. If you like Chinese food, I think you will be happy with this selection.

My DH and I were visiting in March 2003 and also ate here for lunch one afternoon and it was great! We had the Lunch Sampler for 2, we could not finish all the food! Had we rented a refrigerator at the time we would have taken leftovers back to the resort. We hated wasting!

Consensus says you will really like it! Enjoy and have a great time!::yes::

Wow, I would have never gone there had it not been for these great reviews.

This may be an odd question,,,,,but do they have sweet and sour chicken????

what are the prices like?

So glad to hear that this place has turned a corner, for the positive! I'm going to make sure to include this restaurant on our list of "must do's" for our next trip, based on all of the great reviews I have been reading lately.

Herbie, www.allearsnet.com will provide you with the menus and prices; just follow the dining link. It appears Nine Dragons has sweet and sour pork, for $15.50, on their dinner menu, but I do not see sweet and sour chicken.
