Nightmare making ADR's

We're at Disney June 28-July 12. We're staying BC CL. BC IPO was able to get all my adrs June 28-July 11. For some reason they told me that the computer system is not letting them make any dining reservations past July 11th - a glitch in their system.

So I'm still waiting for one ADR - a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our last day.

We made our ADRs for June exactly at 90 days at 8:59 am. It took me bascially the entire day(its a good thing that WDW is in my friends+family circle) to get ressies, I am not a fan of the new system. With this in mind I made ADRs for 25 people, but had to split the party into 3 different tables. We tried for Le Cellier and the manager was nice enough to call back 2 days later.
6-7 Boma dinner
6-8 Coral Reef dinner
6-9 Turf Club dinner
6-10 1900 Park Fare
6-11 Teppen Edo

That's part of the new system, too -- the system suggests alternatives when what you ask for is not available. The system also suggests what time you might want based on previous bookings.

They really need to improve that recommendation system! When I asked about Mama Melrose for the F! package the alternative the system suggested was Tony's, and the alternative for Le Cellier was Turf Club. :confused3 I guess it must be programmed to look at type of cuisine rather than location? I'd hate to be the Disney newbie accepting those alternatives with little understanding of the size of WDW or how to get around.

Wow I'm sorry that you had problems. I called this morning right at 7:00am (well 4:00 am my time). I was only on hold for about 3 minutes and had no problems making my 15 ADR's. The CM told me they were having difficulties booking on 7/12 but she was able to book my two ADR's for that day and the following two days. :confused3

I called back in March for our ADR's for our upcoming trip in June. I was transferred three times and waited an hour but I received every ADR I wanted, when I wanted them. The system was(is) new. It was not what I had hoped for, but it wasn't a catastrophy either.

Wowzer:scared1: Those suggestions would be a disaster for the uninitiated, wouldn't it? We really like to try different restaurants & all, but we usually are wanting a specific park, or near a specific park. I'd guess most people plan their meals in a similar way. Can you imagine if you thought you were getting a Fantasmic Dinner package at Tony's...wandering around DHS looking for Tony's. What a disappointment that would be!

I called at the start of ADR bookings for our upcoming June vacation and I got a CM whose computer went down. I was surprisingly on hold for about ten or fifteen minutes right when phone lines opened. After I got the CM whose computer crashed (I found out later he could've transfered me), it took me exactly one hour and ten minutes on hold to get through again. I thought I was going to have an anurism and I'm pretty sure I developed turrets while waiting! LOL!

Surprisingly, I was able to book the following ADRs (all lunches around noon and all dinners around 6'ish:

June 14th: Mama Melrose's (dinner)
June 15th: Le Cellier (lunch); Jiko (dinner)
June 16th: Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch); Tepan Edo (dinner)
June 17th: Yak & Yeti (lunch); Brown Derby (dinner)
June 18th: Whispering Canyon (lunch); Hoop Dee Doo Revue (dinner)
June 19th: Brown Derby (lunch); California Grill (dinner)
June 20th: 50's Prime Time Cafe (lunch); Aloha Polynesian Luau (dinner)
June 21st: Le Cellier (lunch); California Grill (dinner)
June 22nd: Coral Reef (lunch); California Grill (dinner)
June 23rd: Kona Cafe (dinner)

We added a day on to the beginning of the trip and we were going to use more developer points to extend our trip beyond the 23rd, but I found that there were almost no ADRs to be had. I don't know what's going on during the middle/end of June, but ADRs seem to have evaporated.

BTW, this will be the first time we will use the Deluxe Dining Plan. I think I'll start eating nothing but cereal now so I can put all this food away without exploding! :rotfl:

LOL!:lmao::lmao: I'm pretty sure I would've felt the same way! That's funny!:rotfl:

Boy oh boy do I hope they get this improved before June! It is going to be ugly with everyone, including me, trying to book for free dining. I am pretty sure I am going to add an extra meal or two and plan to pay out of pocket or cancel. I am just really fearful it is going to be hard to get into places. I had a horrible horrible time trying to find places to eat last year when DD turned out to be afraid of characters. You just couldn't get in anywhere.

Ok...more drama... I just called back this afternoon...got my backyard BBQ and my Lilo/Stitch breakfast (only took 10 minutes) but I lost my Crystal Palace because of some computer glitch for July 12th...now I gotta call back tomorrow or so and get it booked!!!! WOW!! How much crazier can this get????
I also had her check my other reservations....They had me booked for the Epcot Princess Lunch and my CRT for JUNE!!!!! I am not arriving until JULY!!!! Luckily we got that fixed...that is how I found out about CP...I am ok with this though!!!! I will call back tomorrow!!

I've had exactly the opposite experience making ADR's - I called at my 90 days, was on hold for 2 minutes and then made about 11 ADR's in 20 minutes.

Then I decided to add the deluxe plan, called back last Sunday (82 days before my trip) and was still able to get everything I wanted including the Princess Storybook breakfast and the California Grill for the period of June 26th to July 4th.

I hope I get the person you talked to! I have 36 ADR's to make for my family! Well, 33 now, my grand gatherings are all done.

I had no wait at all in booking my ADRs but it was pre-new system back in February.
BTW, according to the UG, DW does NOT save any tables for walk ups. Don't ask me how they know and I guess they could be wrong but if they are right, with all the free dining packages, if you go expecting to be able to walk up and get a table (even if you are willing to wait) you may have to wait a very long time. Case in point, my son was there three weeks ago (he knows nothing of DW nor ADRS - was just in Orlando on business and went to DTD for fun) went to one of the restaurants there that takes ADRs and was told it would be a minimum of two hours wait. He went somewhere else!:lmao: and had counterservice.
If everyone is having so much trouble with the system (or even if half of the people using the system have this much trouble) perhaps the new system needs some revisions? Just a thought:confused3

We have a split stay for this July5-10th. I had to call two different times to get the ADR's we wanted. I was able to book:

Akershus Princess storybook lunch
Prime Time 50's lunch
Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast

Each time I called at 7 AM sharp, waited only a minute and was able to get the ressie in a few minutes. I guess I was just very lucky!:goodvibes
