Disney Pillows

So i know its been discussed before, but I sleep so well using those Disney pillows! I have a particular love for my vgc restful nights.

So I did some digging online and it says the pillows Grand Cal uses are the brand Downlite.

I decided to call to verify and two different CM's told me they actually use Sobel Westex Sahara Nights Medium. So I went ahead and ordered a couple from the site!

The reviews are pretty mixed with some people stating that the pillows are amazing and others complaining that these are not the same. Grand Californian specifically isn't mentioned in the reviews but SSR, BW, and DH are so i figured im getting the right ones, despite some people saying it doesnt feel the same.

But im just wondering if anyone has ordered these before and do you feel theyre the same? For high quality pillows, I thought the price was fine at $60, ive spent $100 on a pillow before

Someone mentioned that the company wouldnt be allowed to sell the same exact pillows, but im wondering why not if thats true or maybe Disney housekeeping does some extra magic that were unaware of Anyways, ill post my review soon !

I ordered those Sobels and they are okay, but not great. Pillows are a tough one as everybody has a different opinion. I hope you love them.

Honestly, no as they flatten during the night. I flip it over and then side to side while DH snores like a baby so it is probably just me LOL. They feel like an overstuffed pillow. Why not go to Sleep Number and try their pillows? They do let you exchange if you don't like them.

Grrr I was afraid of this, I am very picky. Well, i paid extra for the $2.99 free and easy returns so I just figured ill return it if they suck and ill try out sleep number, haven't tried that yet!

I personally like the softer flatter pillows that Disney has.
They are the Sobel Westex Sobella Soft.
I looked at the tag right at the resort and ordered some and to me they are exactly the same except they have not been slept on a million times and fluffed. (I wonder if that's why some people say they aren't "the same" pillows).

It's definitely worth the money in my opinion.

As long as you know the style you want.
Because all the rooms have multiple type so its best to check the specific pillow you just put your head on and liked.

I ordered two just in case its not as fluffy, ill have two. I should have looked at the tag before I just never thought to buy then, I thought this would be some disney secret and was surprised they told me without an issue

I ordered them… and while are fluffy and comfortable, it doesn't feel the same.. maybe the VGC wee too used as it has been mentioned but .. still not the same

Everywhere i read has said downlite is the vgc pillow so it surprised me that i called grand cal direct and they told me it was sobel. If anyone has stayed there recently and seen the tag, please let me know because i believe they are Downlite despite what they told me on the phone?

I copied Disney a bit with the Sobels pillows in that I don't like just one type - I like having the mix of firmer, softer, etc. So I have Westex and Sahara Nights pillows - the Westex's are the medium overstuffed ones and they don't flatten out - good for side-sleeping and belly-sleeping - then the Saharas are a bit softer and they do flatten a little more which I actually prefer when back sleeping. I've got 2 of each on my King, so I can move them around depending on my mood - just like I do when I stay at DVC.

Okay now, you bring your brandy new Sobel pillows and "trade" them out for old WDW pillows LOL! Not sure who gets the best on this one...

I bought these too but I swear they aren’t the same. They’re ok though. The good part is they accidentally sent me an extra pillow on accident, which was nice.

I know the mattresses have their own site for purchasing, cant say they had the pillows on there. I will post the site once I remember what it was.
