Night of Joy

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how long this event lasts each night and if WDW transportion is still available to get back to your resort after the event is over?

Also, does anyone know if any characters are out and about during the concert and if so, who have you seen?

Joy, the event lasts around 5 hours if I'm not mistaken. Transportation back to your resort will absolutely be available. As for the characters, I never saw them when I've gone in the past but I also wasn't really looking for them so I'm not much help there. Maybe someone else will know for sure.

I have always wanted to get to the night of joy celebration and this year dh and I are going. I bought tickets for the first two nights already. I am so excited. Does anyone know where the groups will be playing? I have been to MVMCP several times and to MNSSHP -- if you don't know where the entertainment is early, you don't get to see it!

Can't wait to see Michael again! I am a Smitty fanatic!

bsusanmg ~ When I've seen MWS there in the past he was on the castle stage. They will usually put the two biggest names on that stage.

I'll bet it is a MAD HOUSE, huh? I laughed when I saw a warning that there are lots of kids - DH and I are 50+

When kids are there because of their faith - they can be as rowdy as they want! I just love it!!!!

I personally never really noticed too many rowdy kids myself but from what I've heard from others it's mainly on the rides/attractions. I've only gone on a couple of rides during NOJ visits since my main reason for going is the concerts. You won't find a lot of rowdiness at the concerts. One year I was watching Audio Adrenaline and was pretty close to the stage and some kids got a little crazy with their jumping around and were bumping into other people but that's about the worst thing I've ever experienced. I've learned from that experience that if you go to see a group that is more on the rock/alternative side staying back a bit from the stage is a good idea. Well, unless you want to jump around with them! I don't mind kids, teenagers, young adults, even old adults getting excited, they just need to remember to be respectful to the people and things around them.

I have two brothers named Joe and RIck and I go to an Assemblies of God church in PA - Living Waters Chapel...must be why we love the concerts - I have always helped to chaperone our youth rallies and our youth conventions - So I love anyone who loves to worship and get excited over Jesus - that's why I wanted to much to be able to go to NOJ and never thought I would get the time off - well now I am set to go!
