Next Epcot Country???

If you had to put one more country in the world showcase what would it be and why.... (taking out that stupid outpost)


I would put in Egypt because of the theming...I know I know....We already have one Desert Country (Morocco)...But I think the river going back into the friendship dock would make a great NILE. Imagine Three "great pyramids" on one side and the other a restaurant and shops


Your thoughts?

I'm all for seeing Australia take a place at EPCOT. Israel would be a nice addition too.

I think that India would be cool, elephants, the Taj Mahal, all that great food! Australia would be neat, the Great Barrier Reef would make a cool thme ride.

I think Greece would be a great addition. The acropolis, the parthenon (sp?) the landscape, the islands, the food and hot guys in togos. Ok, maybe not the togos, but you get the picture.

Or maybe Austrailia. Not the overly comercially side of it, but more of the Aboriginal side. But just steer clear of Vegimite. Ugh!

Or maybe something like Guam or Samoa. Maybe have some of the Pacific Islands represented.

Any addition would be great I think and welcomed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...Switzerland...They could put in a Matterhorn ride, like at DL. Chocolate shops and watch shops would be a natural addition.

I also like Switzerland, Austria, or....my sentimental favorite IRELAND!! One time when we went to WS, they had Irish stepdancers performing at the American stage. I think that would be a GREAT show to have permanently!! Plus, Irish people are SOO nice. Just think what a great pub they could put in there!!! (Give DTD some competition). And, they could sell the beautiful sweaters!!! And, maybe...WS could start having a "Music festival" much like the F&W fest...they could start with bringing "The Corrs"!!!!

That would be SOOO cool!!

I was THERE when they had the Irish Step dancers too!!! I loved them! I am also biased because I lived in Ireland for the better part of a year in college. Ahh, the Aran Islands are calling from Galway Bay.

Russia. A great culture that people don't know enough about because it's always associated with Communism. Well, so is China, but that country and it's traditions are beautifully represented in the World. Russia has some amazing history and awesome architecture that could be explored.

this is so funny i was just talking about how i missed the Spain pavilion that was installed during the food and wine festival of 2002. it was only there for three months i think it was between france and morocco. it was SO pretty and the outfits were great - of course since it was only temporary they didn't have any workers from spain, it was mostly puerto rican epcot employees who could speak spanish (and on one unfortunate occassion, the very unauthentic connecticut yankee me ). i wish i had taken pictures of it, i thought disney was bluffing when they said it was only temporary! but sure enough, *poof* one night it just disappeared!

i would love to bring back spain, they had flamenco dancing! russia would be interesting too, or ireland.

Wow, it sounds like it was a great exhibit. I'm going to the F&W Festival this year and hopefully the Spain pavilion will be there.

WS currently has all three countries from North America, five from Europe, two from Asia, and one from Africa. I would like to see another from Africa - Egypt, one from South America - Peru (think Inca civilization), or Australia.

I would definitely LOVE to see Egypt.. And, Romania sounds fun. Definitely Spain. Ireland or Scotland sounds good too..
