Same here...
The movie is NOT sold out...but when you show it on 22 of 24 screens on a Thursday night...I suppose dec 17 isn't gonna be like memorial day
Just got out...
Go see this movie
It delivered
Mostly agree...
Loved the actors...save one.
We'll all let it breathe when the dust has settled
Hah. Now I'm curious who...
But yes a very solid movie.
Saw the movie last night at 7 PM with a very good friend of mine who is also a Star Wars geek. At one point in the movie I remember thinking to myself that I loved every single moment of the film. Near the end there was one minor issue that I had but overall it exceeded all of my expectations.
The one thing that I can highlight without ruining anything is that I thought the acting from the new cast members was exceptional. It was so refreshing to see real emotion being culled out of this group of actors - something that was PAINFULLY absent from each of the three prequels. That emotion just helped thrust so much life out of this film and into the audience you could really feel it at times. I know that Abrams's story line and pacing styles can always be critiqued, but the performances he got from the majority of this cast were phenomenal.
I will be taking my kids to see it over the weekend possibly and I already can't wait to go back and view it a second time.
I have to agree...
Honestly...the acting is what makes it a good movie...not the story and certainly not the effects. It was visually stunning and cohesive. That was a feat. And why? Because they used sets and actors. It made the prequels look that much worse.
Ridley was fantastic. But I thought boyega and especially driver were exceptional. Really like how he played And Abrams wrote the character.
And the relationship between the villians.
Definitely growing on me this morning
Grease and the shining
I can't think of any other horror movies from the 70s
Wait...the exorcist?
