Not sure if this has been posted before, but here you go. Bad news for Pixar fans. It seems like Good Dinosaur might be Pixar's first commercial failure after a poor reception in the domestic box office and underperforming in the international market. There's still some hope for the movie since it still hasn't opened in a couple of big markets, but overall, everything indicates that this might be Pixar's lowest-grossing film to date.
My opinion? I personally think Pixar needed this. Everyone holds Pixar to such high standards, so a film that isn't a critical and financial success for them can only help them lower their expectations. Plus, I think some Pixar animators and fans have become a bit too arrogant when discussing animation as they think Pixar can do no wrong, so this might help with that as well.
