Disney understands me so well! Get rid of the that pesky nighttime entertainment, what I really want to do when I'm on vacation is buy overpriced sunglasses and high end shaving products!

I walked through DTD monday-- Art of Disney store, Looked through the Coop, looked at the new buildings, ate outside at splitzville, (good meal) and walked back to the bus stop. (stopped to look over the wall at the remaining Adventurers Club building and reminisced)

It all looks fairly different, but is the same.

I wonder if they are currently rolling Photopass (or whatever they call them now) photographers out in front of the hat. My guess would be no, but I would love having a family picture with the hat half gone.

I don't know the source (it was posted without one on WDWMAGIC) but it sounds interesting.

In other news, you may have noticed a new lengthy rehab is also planned for the Liberty Tree Tavern that will see the restaurant closed for almost 5 months (July 6 to Nov. 20). I'm told that the focus of the work here isn't on the restaurant itself, but rather a complete redesign of the kitchen area that will transform it into a new multi-use kitchen area that will service not only the Liberty Tree Tavern, but an all new restaurant concept planned to open in the old Verandah space at the entrance to Adventureland. This is apparently the main reason why Tinker Bell was moved out of the building and sent to her new Main Street digs.
While the concept may still be a bit fluid, the overall concept from what I understand is that it will be themed to tie into the Jungle Cruise theme. In short... imagine a crazy Adventureland themed restaurant staffed by the Jungle Cruise Captains as a way to pay the bills when they are in-between jobs, and to expand their bad comedy into the realm of the culinary arts.

The refurb is happening but the unconfirmed part is the adventureland verandah. I really hope that part is true.

MK could definitely use a new restaurant as well as some refurbs or new menus at other ones. For the most attended park in the world their sit down options are just not that great.

My Daughter was there last week and they had there picture taken in front of the fountain by the tip board. She said that was what the photopass photographers had been instructed to do in lieu of the hat photo. I don't like the hat, but the fountain pic was sad.

I'm with you 100%. Sort of an "Adventurer's Club lite" atmosphere. They can't do actual performances, because you don't want anything that will keep people in their seats. But the chatter amongst cast members, maybe something similar to 50s prime time, could be a fun experience. (Or have a constant radio broadcast similar to the jungle cruise queue, or along the lines of the sci-fi. I really wish the sci-fi move loop was longer, but again Disney doesn't want you sitting there after your meal is done, so they err on the side of shorter for that loop.)

Edit: Maybe more like a beirgarten thing. There's a brief show every 45-60 minutes, but the show doesn't vary much, so people don't typically stay for more than 1 or 2.
