I thought this all along...taking over Echo lake puts it too close to the "Hollywoodland" portion of the park. I just don't see how they handle the transition. (If the theory that I hold of them wanting immersive themed lands in the new Hollywood studios park holds - this means each land will be well distinguished as you enter and exit it. Toy Story Land feels like you are in Andy's Backyard. Star Wars land feels like you are at some far-off spaceport. This doesn't work if the Chinese theater is 50 feet away.
Which means the foot print of DHS currently is likely to expand.

nice to see a few additions. I didn't see anything about the reserved seating section this year for the "eat to the beat" concerts. But I'm going Saturday and Sunday so I'll have to look into that. Luckily my Chase Visa Debit card worked just fine last year. The other thing is since FPs can be booked for the concerts, they may have eliminated that from the Chase lounge.

So the only place they can go is into the parking lot, correct?

I always look to this suitable building plan as a guide, and it seems if the parking lot is the only place they can go they will have to do a list of things: put a parking garage in, rework the entrance, and re-do the wheel and hub for the park. (the design for the hub and spoke at HS was always a little weird to me anyway.)

I'm kind of amazed they don't just shut the whole park down and work on it 24/7 if these things have to happen.

Yes expansion of the park will likely go into the parking lot. Two parking garages are supposed to be built during the DHS makeover as well.

Disney will never close down a park to work on it 24/7 because they would lose money.

I think theoretically there are some areas they could build out onto, but it would be expensive because they'd have to do a lot of ground work.

There's probably little advantage to closing the park anyway. A large portion of the work they are doing will be "backstage" so they could go 24/7 if they wanted to anyway. It would be crazy expensive to build that way though so they're not going to. And why lose the revenue from the park if there's no upside to it? You could even argue it would be a negative for visitors, because they wouldn't be able to do Tower of Terror, Star Tours and Rock n Roller Coaster or see Fantasmic.

That's always been one of the biggest problems for the park...it completely lacked the hub & spoke design. Hopefully when everything is completed it will have that element and allow for better traffic flow.

Absolutely. I've said it before - I strongly doubt many tickets get sold for DHS as a one day package. The majority are going to be multi-day tickets, and the majority of those are going to have Park Hopper. It will likely be the rare guest that gets disappointed with a full day at DHS and even they will probably move on to Disney Springs/Resort/DisneyQuest to fill the remainder of their day.

We live in the information age. I hate to be "that guy" but if you go to Disney World without some basic research, it's nobody's fault but your own.

I've been waiting for news on the Morimoto menu, any idea if/when this comes out?

I think Morimoto and Edison are still in the works, are there more?

Have they released any other menus? Hangar Bay seems to be a pretty limited menu.
The hangar is more of a bar with small
Plates just like trader Sams. Morimoto opens next week and I haven't seen a menu yet. The Edison will open early next year. Also STK steak house will open late this year or early next. There is a high class Mexican restaurant in the works.

Now this is significant....

Notice how "pal mickey" came and went? Now Duffy came and went?

Disney does not support this crap. When the next one shows up? RUN. All personal opinion, no hate mail please.
The bear is still being sold in limited places but the meet and greet is leaving.
