Is this ride going to be like the Harry Potter ride in Universal IOA? The one where you fly on broomsticks?

If so, I am going to be so upset, those rides make me so nauseous. :(

To me it sounds more like... An open Star Tours vehicle (with improved simulation technology) in the center of a massive 360 degree screen. So, in a way, yes, it will be some sort of simulator ride.

So like the Simpson Ride in Universal... fantastic, I get nauseous on that too! :worried:

It's just my interpretation of the rumors, so who knows. We just know that it will be like Soarin' but more thrilling. Definitely in the realm of simulator type of rides.

Maybe it's even more realistic than soarin'. Instead of smelling oranges, they throw them at you!

I'm just happy about a new ride. Hopefully I get a chance to ride it before I retire. I will only need to reserve it 60 days out at midnight for the privilege.

Reminder(?) - Dream Along with Mickey is down for refurb from 7/21 - 8/19 (I have found different dates online. But these are the official ones)

It's supposed to be they just have been very slow at installing them

While this is a very nice improvement, I'm not sure how much real good it does me. It will make the wait for a bus a little more bearable, but the real value in this info is to have it before you get to the bus stop so that you know when to be at the bus stop.

Hopefully this info can be added to MDE soon, but I would think if the info can display on a monitor at the bus stop it should easily be able to be displayed on the monitor in my hotel room.

That would be a value add. My family would love me rushing them out the door to make the next bus.

Well if it's not online maybe screens will be at all the stops when I get there. One can hope
Whoops I got confused and thought we were talking about the new restaurant in Adventureland. There is no timeline for when the bus times will be on the app nor when each resort will get the TVs.

Ok thanks for the update and for all the work keeping the thread news up to date :)

Can't get my photos to load but the new hub area looks very nice. A lot of work seems to need to be done on the other side however but I think it'll look nice when its complete

No I have to go to Epcot and pretend arendalle doesn't exist

I think ultimately, the goal will be to have it on the MDE App. The value in the screens at the bus stop will be in situations such as this: let's say the amily and I get to the bus stop and realize we forget something...say the sunscreen. The screen shows that the bus for the park we're going to won't arrive for 12 minutes. I can run back to the room and get the sunscreen. If it shows it's only 2 or 3 minutes away, I'll stay put, bite the bullet, and buy the sunscreen at the park (and yes, get gouged - our penalty for forgetting it). Aslo, I think knowing exactly when the bus will be there will help with all the impatient kids (and adults) anxiously peering down the road every few seconds and keep everyone a bit calmer.

I don't know if they could have that info on everyone's TV in their rooms as you suggest. Unless it was a revolving thing where they showed every resort. I'm not sure they could have a channel specifically with the bus info for that specific resort. Especially challenging I would think, for where ever we would want this info displayed (resort lobbies also make some sense), are the resorts with multiple bus stops.
