Two concerns I have with what Disney is acquiring. One is are they also purchasing the facial rec software, Pretty sure Disney will pay for that add on, because well its Disney and they like there security, there are positives and negatives for both. Second is, can it determine that a light saber or a blaster is not a hidden weapon or more to the point, My kilt pins tend to be 2 to 4 inch pewter sword shaped Items, Disney security has never had a issue with them, will the detector be able to tell that my pin isnt a blade at all but just a sword shaped miniature that has zero sharpness or even a sharp point.

Lightsabers they more than likely will be programmed to recognize, blasters aren’t allowed in the parks, your pins will probably have to be verified. Disney has inquired but isn’t pursuing facial tech yet, they probably will in the future though.

A bit late, but for me the coolest object was the first Disneyland ticket sold to Roy Disney. Got to see and hold it on a 2016 ABD trip and even better it was shown to our group by Dave Smith!

Anyone on this thread going during or shortly after reopening?

Have you gotten any more info that hasn't been officially released or been able to reserve park entrance (or restaurants)?

I'd be curious to know if they are contacting those with upcoming resort reservations about their stays...

We arrive 7/12. There is no news about park reservations, tickets, or what happens if your hotel is closed for days that the parks are open.
