News Round Up 2016

Dory is starting to get some very good reviews, currently at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm not one to anticipate sequels, but this one does look pretty good.

I like what I've seen from Moana too. Gorgeous artwork. It looks like it will be a good Disney film.

Regarding the sad news about the alligator attack: My opinion is that Disney should really use more explicit warning signs. "No Swimming" doesn't at all raise red flags the way "Danger: Stay out of the water!" might. It doesn't help that they use those beaches for activities either. When you see beach chairs, campfires, and movie screens set up, you're probably not thinking that there could be an alligator staring at you from five feet away. I think better signage is called for at the very least, but I'd be surprised to see any physical changes to the property before a settlement is reached.

Does that mean they also aren't operating the boats between POR and DS? Also, it sounds like there are no boats going to/from FW and WL, those people have to take a bus to MK?
I'm not sure on Disney Springs boats but yes there should be buses for FW and WL.

Only watercraft on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake are being restricted. DS->POR should be running without interruptions.

The ferry is still running, but guests at WL and FW will have to take a bus to MK

And so it begins... This article claims an exclusive of known and reported guests feeding gators. It actually calls out the DVC bungalows as making the problem worse.

Not sure why but this Duncan Dickson's quote in the article seems ridiculous to me:

"In the same article, former Disney executive Duncan Dickson said: “The entire property is interconnected via canals so it is difficult to keep them out of the lakes. Gators are on all of the golf courses. The team attempts to relocate the gators to the uninhabited natural areas as best they can, but the gators don’t understand the boundaries.”

He makes it sound like its a cultural miscommunication between humans and alligators.
