She was admitted. Not sure. I called the hospital and got her room number and went to Krogers with DH to pick out flowers. We got her a vase of Lilys.

He's going to go by and see her/his brother if he is there.

Dropped me back off at the house. He agreed with me, my tummy wouldn't be welcome in the room.

Im glad your husband will be able to be with his brother. Its hard on guys.. They dont know what to do, or how they should react.

I'm so sorry for her. And I think you and your DH are going about this in the exact right way.

Sarah, congrats on feeling your little one.

My DS(2) has an ear infection so we have had a rough couple of days and nights. I can't wait for the fever to break and have his meds really kick one.
I am getting very tired, prego moms need more than 4 hours a night.

My four year-old has one too. Or so we suspect. She's been running a fever and saying her ear hurts since Sunday morning. The Dr. couldn't see us until tomorrow morning. Poor girlie.

I hope your DS is better and that YOU are getting more sleep ASAP!

Definitely. I told DH he's probably the only one who can be there for him right now-- BIL was incredibly close to their father and is still grieving that loss... DH has been the only one he'd talk to about it.
If you want to take advantage of the first trimester screen (I didn't do it, so I forget exactly what it is called?) you have to go to Charleston, WV about an hour away.
The day she did it we had some crazy bad weather and I guess my BIL hit a cable truck head-on (which totalled his truck)... This was a few weeks ago but I'm guessing BIL is likely to blame himself because of the accident.

I'm so sorry for her. And I think you and your DH are going about this in the exact right way.

Thanks, I hope so. DH asked me what to tell them if they asked where I was. I told him I doubted they would ask.

It's must be so hard on you too, wanting to offer support, but needing to keep your belly out of it.


The baby is kicking like crazy and I feel all heavy down there. It's the weirdest feeling. Like I ate too much? I don't know. Thanks for all the congrats!

CRAP. My ds just got home from school.. He has spirit week next week, and is SUPER excited about it. Problem?? I will be 36 weeks in a couple of days, and my Dr. is wanting to induce me then. So now what?? Do I have babies?? Do I keep my legs crossed and hope they dont want to come?? He has his heart set on seeing the babies being born, and I know he will get over missing a few days of school.. Right? I sure hope so. Then the next week we have parent teacher conferences.. Couldnt they have planned this around my pregnancy a little better.

Oy.. with all these contractions I just dont see myself holding out for another couple of weeks.

Thanks. I feel helpless but don't want to offend. I'll let DH guage the situation and maybe like Danny's Mom said, cook some food and swing by if DH thinks I'll be welcome when they get home. And wear a big shirt.

I know what you mean about that feeling (assuming it's the same thing I experienced) I felt crazy akward trying to explain to my doctor that feeling "down there" that just felt heavy... she laughed at me and told me they were probably just laying on the right area and wiggling. It's crazy when you start feeling stuff, totally not what I expected!
I've been sitting here the last few minutes watching my whole belly shake. I think he's doing flips. It just keeps getting better.

You should see my belly go!! I went in for my NST on Saturday, and the babies DO NOT like to be monitored!! They were going nuts, and my belly was bouncing ALL over the place! I dont think my baby B has EVER moved so much. It took us three hours to get half an hour of tracing!

I do hate it. I dont have a date set yet, but I am thinking she might set one at my next appt... I hope. I would REALLY prefer to go naturally.. But I never have, so I dont really expect to this time. I am SO ready to not be pregnant anymore!!

My principal called me in today and asked me to teach a 3 wk summer program in June! I told him I thought I'd be a little busy. He told me to bring the baby with me! Uh, yeah, I'm going to bring a 3 wk old to the school for 3 hrs a day - to teach all the kids who failed my class this year. I don't think so!

Non-stress test.. Basically they put a heart monitor on each baby, and a contraction monitor.. They need to make sure the babies heart rates are reacting to their movement, and such..

My next appt. is Wednesday.

... I finally got the BRU/TRU webpage to cooperate! Saw an article online that said SafeSeat's are no longer in production, they're being replaced by SnugRide 32's (which won't fit into my stroller!) so I fought until I figured it out and ordered it. Phew!

We are so excited. I have just about everything ready to go.. I spent almost all day yesterday sorting out clothes, and sheets and blankets.. My hospital bag is packed and ready to go. I have everyone various electronics plugged in and charged up. My husband has been working on cooking up some meals for us to have when we get back from the hospital. I have everything ready.. I just need some babies!!!

Good! Its so frustrating when you cant get something to work.

It amazes me to hear you say "babies" as in two wonderful little beings! You go girl, getting all that accomplished in one day with babies hanging out in your belly.
I've been here, on the couch, next to the doggie, for about 5 hours now. Homework off and on. Thinking of what I could be doing and not doing a thing...
Now I'm trying to figure out what food to go get... since DH isn't back yet I figure he's out with his brother and said he was hungry when he left so bet they'll eat. Now what do I want?

Well.. I have to admit.. I was kinda hoping that if I worked my butt off getting stuff done, it would send me into labor. It totally didnt. Now I need to figure out what to make for dinner tonight. Im thinking Chicken and rice.. The chicken is already made, all I have to do is make some rice.. and veggies.. and sauce.. Easy enough.
