Nope, it's college insurance.
We didn't buy anything through our employers.
If I enrolled in summer classes, I can add him to my policy for the summer term but I can't enroll him in a "term" that I'm not enrolled in classes for.
My policy runs August-August (fall semester to the next fall semester) and I'm not required to attend summer classes as long as I bought it and attended the required courses for enrollment at that time (fall and spring semesters)..
I'll double check but I'm pretty sure they won't let me buy the "summer" policy for him, since I won't be enrolled in summer classes. I asked them shortly after I found out I was pregnant because insurance is one of those things I flipped out about not having when DH and I got married-- I didn't have insurance for two months! Even chopping onions freaked me out!
I guess the obvious answer is to enroll in a summer course but they haven't released any information about them yet sooo I don't know.
Luckily, it's cheap insurance. And good coverage. If they'll let me buy the summer policy for him w/o me being enrolled it's only $237. Otherwise, I guess we'll be paying OOP... and cross our fingers that he stays in there a bit longer so there is less time to cover stuff OOP. Haha.

) and the school insurance isn't worth the $500 it would cost to add them to it. He got it cheaper and it was better coverage (we don't have copays-everything is out of pocket until you hit the deductible).
Woohoo!!! Great news!!!!! What a great early Valentine
DH is already tired of hearing "Can you PLEASE check my hair!" But so far, the kids' heads are clean and I just have a dry scalp. Phew!
This weekend we went shopping to look at furniture and bedding and car seats and .... My husband was just amazed at all there is for a baby. I think now I have a plan on how I want to do her room. It is just sooo much fun.
