Feeling pretty good today. I can't believe he is 2 weeks old already!

Just wish my other two would listen. I think I'm going hoarse from yelling!

Hey ladies, don't let our b-feeding experiences this time scare you. I've never had a problem like this before! I wouldn't give it up for anything either!

We've been having good luck with breastfeeding. She doesn't always latch on right away, especially if she's crying to eat. It's really funny because she'll get all excited and forget for a minute that she needs to actually use her mouth.

We went to the doctor yesterday, and all is well except for a bit of thrush. So we're giving her some nystatin. Hopefully I don't get it from her!

Ticker changes today, I'm 8 weeks!

I have a ticker that I'm saving for after my disney trip, but everytime it changes I get SO excited

oh no! the flu!
how long did it take for the affected side to return to somewhat normal? the lump is still there ... and the b**b is GINORMOUS ... seriously. it is like "what the @#% happened here?" Even my KIDS are asking why is that side so much bigger mom?
The antibiotic is cefadroxil (?) or something like that ... it took 1 1/2 days to bring the fever below 102 ... that and 600mg ibu and 1000 tylenol every 6 hours.

This is not a "traditionally accepted" method of fixing a plugged duct, but sometimes it works:

Take a hot shower and let the water flow down your affecte side. Then used your hand to express milk as firmly as you can while looking at the nipple. See if you can see a duct that looks like a "pimple", as though milk was trying to come out, but can't... then prick it with a sterile needle.

Not saying this always works, but I was prone to having my nipples get plugged and this is what my LC suggested. Obviously you need to be careful and clean. Once the area of the nipple is releasing milk again, hand express or pump til the engorement and swelling goes back down.

I suffered a couple of bouts of mastitis before I learned how to ward it off this way.

Hello ladies! I saw the Dr. this morning. The baby's heartrate was 152 and I'm thinking I am feeling mild movement because the baby was right where I thought it was based on some flutters last night. All the bloodwork from 4 weeks ago looked very good and they drew some more for another test today. (All of this because I'm over 35 and didn't want to do an amnio.)

The big ultrasound is three weeks from now...I know the wives' tale based on the heartrate is that I'm having a girl, but the heartrate 'test' has never been right for my kids, so I still feel pretty clueless as to who is actually in there.

I woke up this morning vommiting, which is really unusual for me. Now I have to get through 2 storytimes. But I'm feeling better and will hopefully be able to eat something after I finish with storytime.

I had another gallbladder attack last night. I took the pills within the first half hour, though, and it made a HUGE difference. Pain for just a few hours.

Last night must've just been one of those nights.

Did you make it through your storytimes?

I hate that so many of you aren't feeling well!

I'm aggravated at my dr right now. I posted before that I failed my 1 hr glucose test on Tue, and have to do the 3 hr. My dr told me to check with my local hospital (he is an hour from me) and call him back to set it up. I wanted it set up for tomorrow morning. My 1st pd will be in an assembly, and I'm off 2nd pd, so I was hoping not to miss a whole day of work due to this. I checked with the hospital-they said they'd do it but had to hear from him 1st. So I called Tuesday before 1pm, and left a message. I never heard back, so I called my hospital yesterday morning. They had not heard from my dr. I called my dr's office back and left a 2nd message for my dr. I've had a group of kids on a field trip today, so I couldn't call until this afternoon. I just called the hospital, and they still haven't heard from my dr!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it is too late to get it set up for in the morning. I guess if my dr isn't worried about it, I won't either.

I went to the Dr. today.. OMG. Scariest moment of my LIFE. She starts my ultrasound, and all of the sudden says.. Uh-oh.. not good. Then she yells out the door.. I need a dopplar in here..NOW! So Dh and I are panicking.. MASSIVELY. Whats wrong??? Baby A seemed to have a really slow heartbeat. I start bawling, and Frelan is in a straight panic. Then she adjusted the little scanny thingy, and all was well. She just didnt have the best view on him. Seriously.. All of us were freaking out. She dopplared both babies, and they were perfect.. Thank GOD.

THEN we went on to the weight scan. Baby A... 5.5lbs. Baby B... 5.7lbs. Is it any wonder I can barely roll over in bed? Even the Dr. was like.. DANG!! They are huge! They both measure about a week or so ahead. But still.. No talk of induction. She was like.. Only 2 more weeks! I gave her the WORST look... A week and a HALF. NOT two weeks. She did a cervical check.. and nothing. Then she asked if her student could check. Frelan was like.. Anyone else want to stick their hands up my wifes Vag?

Oh.. and I gained a ton of weight.. But I dont care anymore. Im huge, Im swollen, everything hurts.. I give. I just want this over. I wouldnt wish this pregnancy on my worst enemy.. and I have had a GOOD twin pregnancy. \

I have a non stress test at the hospital on Sat, and go back to see her next Wed.

Whew, what a scare! Glad you are okay.

it makes things so much worse if you are mad at you doc! Why can't they all just do what they are supposed to do! I know they have a busy schedule but thats what their nurses and staff are for! Besides, they should know better than to make us pregnant women unhappy!

Yes, I made it, but barely! I made it all day just feeling gross and then got sick late last night. But I'm feeling better today. Hopefully I'll have a good weekend since everyone seems to want to see me!

I don't know if it is the baby, or if I have what my kids had earlier in the week. I sent my kids on to the assembly, and told the other teachers on my hall that I'm staying in my room with the lights off.

I saw the program yesterday at the middle school-our high school Beta kids are performing all over town getting ready for convention next week. I had to take a group of them to engineering day events at a local plant (really neat-they make parts for the F-18 and other combat type stuff for our military, and some of our allies). So I went to the middle school with them, watched the performance, then loaded up my group from there. They are doing the same skits today for the high school.

I hope you feel better! Sounds more like a stomach bug to me. I am so looking forward to a weekend off, even though I have a bunchf of stuff planned.

Does anyone else feel all love-dovey toward their DH? All the sudden I think he's the bee's knees. I always think he's an amazing guy, but the last few days, I get chocked up about how awesome he's going to be as a dad. At least I'm letting him near me know. lol For the last few months most of the time, I've been completely hands off. And I'm not talking about the stuff that got us here in the first place!! Just love struck, ya know?
