Just got back from the OB's office. He did an abdominal u/s & both kids were squirming around & looked good. :) He agreed that the blood was likely from the polyp. So all's good here for now. Yeah. It's weird, not being able to see or feel them yet, 3 weeks since last u/s, I was getting a little worried that they might not be OK. Seeing them moving around like they should, made me feel a whole lot better.

Thanks for updating all of us so quickly.

:goodvibes I'm so glad everything worked out ok! How many weeks are you now? Should be going to the high-risk doc soon and getting your u/s's all the time....that will make you feel better!

I'll be 11 weeks on Saturday. I have my 1st trimester screen u/s at the high risk doc next week. And yeah, I'm sure due to my status I'll be getting u/s's *ALL* the time. So until I can feel them I'll be getting pretty regular peeks.

It definitely helps! I remember with DS#1, it really helped me seeing him every two weeks after having had my daughter early and losing her. Even at my very last u/s with Luca, I was still nervous until I saw the heart beating. :thumbsup2

If you don't mind my asking, how early was your daughter? If I'm being too nosy, I can mind my own business too, so if you prefer not to discuss it, that's ok too.

Thank goodness! That must be such a relief for you. Thanks for letting us know.

I did a 4D and paid $100, I wanted to find out the gender. I will ne going back at 28 weeks and it will be $59 plus $25 if I want a DVD. Not bad for a sneak peak.

That's not bad, I was thinking it was more like $250...How did you find out where to go?

I don't mind talking about it at all!:goodvibes My water broke in my 32nd week and they kept her in for 4 days...I think I was 33 weeks exactly. Not nearly as early as your little one. My situation just had a bad outcome. She developed complications when she was 4 days old and had surgery. It was just too late at that point and she kept getting sicker. I finally decided to take her off life support because she didn't deserve to be in so much pain. Hardest decision I ever had to make in my life....but they were giving her morphine every minute or two and just when I made the decision, she started crashing again and I knew it was the right choice.

She passed very peacefully in my arms, but I was devasted for years. They had told me I couldn't get pregnant at all, so she was a wonderful surprise. When I got married to DH, I thought it would be so easy to conceive and it definitely wasn't (until I had DS#1, that is...:rotfl: ). When I began to have problems in that pregnancy, it was very comforting to see him on u/s's all the time during that very stressful time! I hope you find the same comfort and that you carry these babies much longer than you carried your son!:goodvibes

Well ladies, I think I might have mastitis. I am not feeling good at all. I will have to call the doctor in the morning...I've never had it before, but I'm pretty sure that this is what it is. Anyone been there before?

Also, I can't stop trying to plan another WDW vacation. I want to go soooo bad, and we ALL know how long 9 months feels!:rotfl2: Not like we really have the money...so someone please help me stop the madness!!!!!:lmao:

When all of your kids are as young as mine, we just can't think of anywhere to go. Disney is so easy and fits all ages! Any ideas?

Thank you for sharing that Lisa. It is tough, knowing that bad things happen, really without reason. We never faced the decision about when to end care, but it was something I feared for months. My heart was in my throat everytime the phone rang at night, until I could check the caller ID & verify that it wasn't the hospital calling.

I also know that for as early as my son was, we have been very very fortunate. I mean he does have permanent impacts from being born so early, but he's a great kid. The outcome could have been so much worse. That he is not more seriously disabled is nothing short of miraculous. It's hard not to think, how dare I hope for better luck this time.

My fears (though blunted a bit by time) are still very present and very real. It took more than 4 years for the terror of possibly getting pregnant again to subside enough that, we'd occassionally get "reckless" -- thinking getting pg again could be a good thing, 5 years before we threw all caution to the wind & said I'm not getting any younger here, it's now or never.

Ohhhhh, mastitis sucks, hot shower & try to hand express in the shower. You may also need to try & pump a bit. Usually mastitis begins w/a blocked duct, clearing the blockage can help. Definitely call the doc, you may need meds to help clear it up.

Massaging your breasts while pumping can help clear any blocks as well. When I was exclusively pumping, I would recruit DH to massage my breasts while I pumped, bigger stronger hands could do more to help clear blocks & with the pump, you can sort of see the surge of more milk when he got the right spot.

Have you checked the kellymom website for more BF info yet?

I'm no help w/ the vacation thing.... we're going in March, before I get too huge!

I wish! I can't even get one, according to my OB's nurse practitioner! :headache: The only Dr. office on my insurance plan that has a 4D machine is at the other hospital, which meant I automatically ruled him out when picking.

He works in the rotation with my Dr., though, so when I see her March 5th I plan to ask and make sure there is no way to get one. The nurse practitioner told me she wasn't 'sure' but it would be a 'medical risk' to allow another Dr. to do an ultrasound on me unless I was their patient. :confused3
Hoping since this other guy is in my insurance network (and he's in my OB's rotation, so he COULD deliver me) that the OB will give me a different answer!! :thumbsup2

DannysMom-- How scary! I'm glad everything worked out okay. Now, just hope that your son doesn't start acting like Staley's daughter and following her to the bathroom to keep her from flushing away a baby. :rotfl:

I got my ultrasound results today...I'm cooking another big one.

I think he should be about 2 lbs 4 oz, he's about 3 lbs 11 oz! Following right in his brothers' footsteps!!:scared1:

edited to add:
I just looked up an average chart and it should be 2.4 lbs, not 2 lbs 4 oz, so average is between 1.93 and 2.22 lbs. He is the size of an average 32-33 weeker! OUCH. I knew he was big based on readings yesterday. and where I go, they take measurment 3 times of each thing and average out the 3!

Oh my!! I have big babies too.. Not as big as yours though!! At my last appt. that they were measured, they were 3 and a half pounds each.. and that was right around 30 weeks or so. My dr. figures if I make it to 36 weeks they will both be 6 or 7 pounds.

wow..that's big for twins!! I go on Tuesday to see my OB (well one of the 2). I'm sure I'll have another ultrasound before my next appt.. Bring it on...I'll take all the ultrasounds to see the butterball I'm cooking in my belly.

I love ultrasounds!! When I had my big one at 20 weeks, they babies heads were together, and moving around.. It looked like they were having a conversation. :lmao: Now that one is breech, it just looks like they are trying to kick the other one in the head. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi everyone! Just dropping by to let you all know that I gave birth to my daughter yesterday morning. On Tuesday I went in for my weekly OB appointment and my blood pressure was high. Despite having it checked 3 times after laying on the exam table, it would not go down. They also found protein in my urine. My doctor told me to go to L&D triage and have them check me out, but told me to expect to be induced. She figured since I was 38.5 weeks, there was no sense in waiting for me to get sicker, I might as well deliver. I agreed; my mom and sister both had complications related to high BP, so having pre-eclampsia was something I was sort of expecting. I'm just glad I didn't have to go on bedrest; I wanted to spend all my available leave with my daughter, not staring at cracks in the ceiling.

In a nutshell, I was admitted that afternoon and induced a bit before 6pm Tuesday, got an epidural a little while later, and at 7:04am, she made her debut! She shares her birthday with her great-grandmother, who turned 90 yesterday (my paternal grandmother). She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces, is 20 inches long and is a perfectly normal and healthy little baby girl! Hooray! :cool1: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Congratulations! Ds11 was born on my grandmother's 77th birthday, d9 was born on dh's late great-grandmother's birthday, and this baby is due on my late grandfather's birthday! I'm really hoping she comes on her due date (but by then I may not care so much;) ).
