Hello,

This is our first ever WDW trip requiring a rental car, and though I've been spending night after night reading the posts here, I am still feeling so overwhelmed! There's been so much great advice on getting a good rate at National, so that's the company we decided to go with.

We started off by joining the Emerald Club (through the Mousesavers/Turner Travel link). Then last night I logged on to the National site and did several tries using different Contract ID #s (6600330 from Priceless, the Wal-Mart ones, Visa, etc.) AND the Entertainment book coupon # AND the product code WWEB (found on National's site.)

Well, even after all kinds of different combinations, I kept getting the same Total Estimate quote of $248.72 for a minivan for a week (we'll be there 2/12 through 2/19). It appeared that the WWEB product code always got me a starting rate of $235, and any contract ID # showed up as an $18.80 discount, and then the Ent. Book coupon took off another $20.

My questions: Have I missed something? This seems like a great rate, but I've been processing so much information lately (and so late at night...LOL) that I'm afraid I may have skipped a step.

ALSO, to further complicate matters, we didn't reserve anything last night b/c I wanted to go to Sams Club today and get their Contract ID # and Coupon # just to see what that might do for us. Well, of course, when I just now tried to go through the whole process again with the Sams numbers, I got a message saying the coupon code would not apply to that class of car. I tried the Entertainment Book coupon code again (exact same as last night) and got the same message. I'm confused as Sams says "reserve an intermediate through a specialty car" and the Ent. Book says "midsize through specialty" -- wouldn't a minivan fall into those categories?

ANY help, comments or advice you could give me at this point would be so very much appreciated. I've been just blown away by the helpfulness and friendliness of everyone on this board!

Thanks in advance,

Henrymom ~ Nationals website can be quirky. Try reentering the info.

BTW: Your minivan rate is not so bad. What are your dates?
