please help me understand....how do you add "dimension" to your layouts, by this I mean embellishments such as buttons, ribbons, Jolie's stuff, and tags (they intrigue me, haven't a clue where to start with tags, though), if you are protecting your pages with page protectors? I have started with a CM 12x12 book, and was told page protectors were a must...but in my voracious reading for ideas have developed these questions...so how do you incorporate these things? Do you just hope that your tags and embellishments will endure? I want lots of people to enjoy my album(s), but also want them to last! Looking forward to all of your expert advice...MaryAunt

PS first time posting on this board...Dis member for awhile!:rose:

For the buttons and other non stick stuff, you would need to glue them on with a glue pen or a Xyron machine....the Xyron is great, it makes anything into a sticker. I have the little one, it's only about $10. I figure anything bigger I can just use my tape runner for. For me this has really worked with those little and hard to stick on items.
Lots of Jolees are stickers, you just need to check to see if they are or not. Hope that helps!

I recommend mini glue dots for buttons and other dimensional type embellishments. They are so easy to use and hold really well. I don't use CM albums so I don't have experience with them, but most all of my pages with dimensional embellishments fit into the page protectors I use.

You can get special page protectors that are about 1/4 inch in depth for pages that have really bulky items on them. They are kind of a hard plastic and the brand is Protect-A-Page.

One thing that is good to do when using dimensional embellishments is to try to have your page "built up" in several places to protect the pages that are against it in your album from getting "dented or imprinted" from the dimensional embellishments. If you don't want to use the dimensional embellishments in several places on your page, you can use pop dots to build up other areas of your pages (title, photos, etc) to even out the dimension on the page. I hope that makes sense. It is easier to explain in person, LOL.
