Newbie question about borrowing

so I just got my new member account login. how exciting! I am borrowing all points from 2016 to make two reservations for next year. I want to stay at wilderness lodge in December (priority) and okw in june. I am able to book the okw june stay now, and it requires 26 points of 50 borrowed.
Come time to make my December ressie at VWL, I will need 32 points, and be 8 points short.
Question: If I make the okw ressie now, is there a way to purchase the 8 points that I will be short when I go to make the December reservation? Will the system prompt me to pay for 8 points at that time?
The 50 borrowed points represent my entire contract.

One-time-use vacation points are not available for waitlist reservations. They also cannot be purchased at 11 months out, only 7 months. I don't think you can buy them online either, only by calling MS so you'd lose an hour on booking the reservation.

I'd probably just buy the OTU pts for the OKW stay.

You are either in, or darn close to in, the 7 month window for OKW. If you are short points, I would buy one time use points for that reservation. (since you can only do so at the 7 month mark as charlee stated) I do not think you can do it on line. I did it once, on the phone, and they had to bring someone else onto the line, i had to state that yes, blah blah blah was exactly what i wanted to do, I am sure it was recorded; so i doubt you can do it on line.

Also what is your home resort? December is popular, so if your home resort is not VWL, you MAY have trouble.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like I will need to call ms to make the okw reservation and purchase the one time use points. My home resort is wilderness lodge, and I'm hoping to get a studio for a Thursday-fri one of the first two weeks in dec.

Yes, you can borrow 2016 for any stay 3-1-15 to 2-29-16. If you use year was August or after, you could not borrow 2016 for June (there is no July use year).
