I thinking about renting points but I'm not sure how to figure how many points I need. I'm thinking of going 2/16-2/23/08. Do I need to add points from sun-thurs, then add friday and sat. Sorry for the stupid question but it's confusing to me.:confused3

Actually, if you are not a member, the points are useless to you. You'll need to rent a reservation from a member. You can use the Points Calculator to see how points would be needed for your trip by using the DVC Point Charts shown at the top of the page. All you do is plug in your dates, the resort you want and the type of lodging you need. It will calculate the points for you.

Also, keep in mind the vacation days you are looking at include President's Day holiday weekend so availability at this date may be somewhat limited. If you are flexible with the resort and type of accommodation though you will have a better chance at finding something. Good luck!

For the WDW DVC resorts, weekday nights (Sun - Thu) are one rate and weekend nights (Fri, Sat) are another, higher, rate. For example for the dates you mention, to stay in a studio at BCV would cost 14 points per night for each weekday night and 32 points per night for each weekend night. For convenience, the charts also list a weekly rate which is 5 times the weekday rate plus two times the weekend rate for this room type. For example, for the BCV studio for your dates the weekly rate is 134 points which is equal to 5 times the weekday rate of 14 pts/night plus 2 times the weekend rate of 32 pts/night.

Hope that helps clear up the confusion!
