Newbie Just Booked 2BR at BWV June 5

Hello All,

We are new DVC members as of Oct. My first attempted trip was this weekend and I was wait listed, but it didn't make. I am now booked for a BWV 2BR garden/pool view for early June. This will be Myself, DH, DD, DS and possibly 2 friends of the kids. My kids are college age so the BWV location is great. We would have more space at Kidani but the kids really wanted to try BWV. We had tried to the BI in the past o/w luck.

My questions is room request. Any suggestions? Do I call back to make that request or is there an email route for making requests?

P.S. My DH gave me DVC as a gift for our 30th anniversary.

My guess is that you got Pool/Water/Garden view. You can call MS and add your request to the reservation. You could request the themed pool (Luna Park) or the leisure pool (quiet pool). There is only one elevator bank, so you might want to request close to the elevator if that is important.

I would put in a wait list for the boardwalk view. It's the same point usage as pool/garden but you get a fabulous view of the boardwalk, lake, Space Ship Earth, fireworks etc. For my second wait list I would put in standard view. Less points and good views.

BUT, if that standard view comes in at 30 days or less (if you extend the waitlist to seven days out), you will wind up with left over points if you get the standard view. OR if you get the standard view more than 30 days out, you could wind up with left over points and unable to bank them.

Since you said you may bring a friend for each of your college age children, just posting to remind you of the bedding at the BWV - so both you and the kids know what to expect.

You will find 1 King bed in the Master bedroom (for you and your DH, of course) and in the second bedroom you will find a queen size bed and a double size sleep sofa. There will be a queen size sofa in the living room.

There will be a bathroom in the second bedroom and a 2 room bathroom that has an entrance from the Master bedroom and one from the short hallway between the kitchen and the Master bathroom.

As a contrast, Kidani will have two queen beds in the second bedroom and 3 bathrooms. (But you already know that).
