Newbie In Contract For Saratoga

Hey everyone. We are new to all of this and are buying 150 points in Saratoga Springs right now. I just want to intro myself and am excited to be a DVCer now.

I am Stephanie Married to Jim and mom to Chris who is 3 . We are fom Long Island and are actually really excited about all of this. I have been thinking about it for 3 years and we were deciding whether to buy new or resale. Since it is a new resort we figured on buying new. I cannot wait to go. :

Thanks so much I think they said July is when we can start using them and we will have a March use month. We are probably doing a sacralege(spelling lol_) but we are booking the cruise first with only 2 nights in Saratoga probably this Dec. The reason we are doing this is that we have been to Disney 2 times in this past 7 months, once in Sept and once Feb. So can I dare to say we are Disney Worlded out? I am actually sending the contract out tomorrow. We left our deposit last Thursday

Nothing wrong with cruising first! We are going on the Disney Wonder just before heading down for the SSR grand opening! So exciting!

So -- July? Wow. I have been trying to figure out how fast units at SSR are selling. The "points available in May" units are gone (building 1) and the "Points available in June" units seem to be gone (I think we decided those were Building 2). Did you buy an interest in Building 3? Is there any way to tell from your contract?

If Disney has already sold out two buildings before the darn thing even opens, I'm gonna be impressed. And I'm not easy to impress!

Don't know how the units work as I purchased August use year last October and my contract says building 1H. Seems like there must be points in each building for all the use years. I had my choice because it is a new contract not an add on but elected to take August since that is also my OKW contract year and hopefully will keep things easy as far as banking etc.

I have no idea. I guess I should look closer at the contract LOL. Quick question did any of you have lawyers look at the contract?

Nope....We are in 12B that is building 2 and have UY August

Congratulations and welcome home.

When we bought at SSR in October, the map of the resort sent with the marketing materials, showed just the first four buildings as definate and the remaining 8 as proposed. I guess they may have the first 4 sold before the first one actually opens on 5/17.

With the rush to beat the price increase, there may be a wait to stay for the people with points in buildings 5 - 12. Obvivously, they can sell points before the buildings open, but I would not want to have to wait too long. I got building 1 w\ June use year.
