So, I just applied for the Disney Visa and have been reading on different forums about it.

It seems like a lot of people charge things and then pay them off at the end of the month.

What about paying them off weekly? If I charge something and make a payment a few days later do I still get the reward dollars?

I'm super anal about money and very organized and I think it would throw me off to do it monthly. I'm thinking to just charge gas, groceries, and some expenditures between now and when we are going (late Sept) but minus them out of my checkbook like normal and then every week make that total payment to them online.

Has anyone ever done this? I just don't want to get in over my head I guess but the idea of having the reward dollars is so tempting.

You do receive the dollars. Disney VISA is currently having a 5x the dollars offer for some. You had to receive an offer in the mail and sign up. I actually don't use the card that much but since groceries is one of the 5x items and we don't generally use a cc for this I sent in a payment at the beginning of the month and just charged them and did get the dollars.

The main thing is to keep the money aside and pay it off. The CC companies like to make these offers in the hope that people will use them and NOT pay them off in full and thus earn a LOT of interest income

I did receive the offer in the mail and called. I also bank with Chase too and had gotten things before about it but finally did it. I wonder if I qualified for the 5x. They didn't say anything about it on the phone. Hm...

Thanks for your thoughts. That's why I was thinking about doing it weekly so when we use it I deduct the money out of my checkbook like normal and then make one lump sum for the total at the end of the week. I think I'd be worried to let too much add up and risk not paying it all or something.
