Howdy neighbor, we're in cabin 2576.

grim pirate:

Anyone near us? We're 6540 and 6541.

Grim, is it too early for you to know where you're staying the night before the cruise, and do you plan on taking the DCL bus again?

other news, school is full swing. Molly joined the band. She is going to use my flute from hmmmmm many years ago  Molly is loving middle school and I'm getting used to it. I miss the interaction with parent friends, but I still get to see those friends when I pick up Wil. He is happy with his class(es) english and spanish...

Two comments: I think it's GREAT that Molly joined the band. I was just telling Jesse yesterday that I wished he would have joined the Marching Band, but in all honesty, it's not his thing. He plays guitar, and has no interest in any other instruments.

And I LOVE it that Wilson is in a bilingual school. It'll be SO valuable for him when he grows up. I wish we had that here.

Aisling...sad to hear that Mel is bailing....want to send him to Cali to hang with Dale that week???does he golf? now on a selfish note - that gives us more time to hang out...:thumbsup2
some of those dresses were really nice...the cranberry and sapphire....but for those '70's' styles.....ahhhh....been there already.......don't want to go back......:rotfl2: I would HAPPILY travel to London with you and shop Harrod's!!!! then we could go on to Paris...
btw - did i tell you that ryan bought an electric guitar a few months back? he hasn't done any lessons,...but has taught himself a few songs....classic rock mostly....guess i should get him some lessons...but he also wants scuba lessons before the cruise so he can do some of those excursions....

we are in 7510 & Rus & Michelle are across the hall from us - in an inside cabin...as much as i loved the balcony on our easter cruise...i just couldn't justify the extra $$$ again with the Italy trip & anniversary trip in between.....

off to starbucks & my WW mtg....need my latte~

Now that's a plan! Eurostar to Paris is a great way to travel and to save travel pennies (or should I say cents) you ladies could bunk with me in both cities... :goodvibes

Hey Brenda, what a coincidence! Samuel plays electric guitar (now having lessons after teaching himself) - as I type I can hear him playing 'Hey Joe' with his brother... :cloud9: AND he's a scuba fan! He's been diving for a couple of years in Spain and loves it - he's really looking forward to the diving opportunities on the Mexican Riviera cruise as well as in the Caribbean. :thumbsup2

Good luck, Ryan!! Wishing you perfect weather for the game!
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I do believe our three sons were triplets separated at birth! Jesse has an acoustic guitar that he's teaching himself to play, and has been begging for an electric! He's so into the classic rock, too! I told him we'll see...maybe for Christmas if he keeps up his grades. I'm so excited to tell him about Samuel and Ryan playing guitar; he spent the night at a friend's house, and I'm going to give him a call now. I so can't wait to cruise with you girls!

i just finsihed signing all the dvc papers and stuff. I will not be doing the down for the cruise till between jan and aprail(heck maybe tax time) We will still be there at least thats the plan. I can not wait to meet you all and we should all have a good time

There is a podcast called "Window To The Magic" It's been on for about 1 year or better. Itunes has it or I guess you can just go online & find it. I just watched the following video from 1980 from WDW. If you can find it you should really watch it. Very nostalgic.

It's especially touching after just finishing the book about Walt's life. I think I choked up about 20 times. You have to remember I WAS a Mouseketeer as a child. I grew up in the 50's Walt was very exciting to a kid.

WindowToTheMagic VideoCast 033 - A Dream Called WDW 25:23 7/25/2007 In the 1980's, Walt Disney World released a video detailingthe many different offerings available when you enjoy a Walt Disney World vacation. Remember that this was PRE-EPCOT CENTER, PRE-STUDIOS and PRE-ANIMAL KINGDOM. This video is JAM PACKED full of cl Disney Sounds Guy, Paul Barrie, Jr.

Jill, thanks for the info. I'm going to check it out, and especially let Chad know about it. He's very into the original Disney stuff, always looking for more sources of the nostalgic things he never experienced. Jill, do you remember Spin and Marty from the Mickey Mouse Club show? I wish the Disney channel would put the old programs back on tv.

My ds plays base guitar.

I have been checking some of the dresses here at belks and thinking of the cruise. I will absolutely be grabbing one or two thatll last me for next winter. We have another trip here to the outer banks before cruise time so I have another chance to grab up some purty stuff for next year.

Rose may wind up cruising husbandless too. She would being her ds, he is adrian and chads age.

I read today that we can have up to 20 people at a table for dinner. With the size of our group we'd probably need 2 tables tho...

I know I want to be in town before the cruise but unless we can get a really good deal like last time we will probably wind up at johns aunts house, she's only about 20 minutes from the port in Melbourne.

Wow, I sure do. I watched all of the Disney shows.

These guys are incredible. I can't believe they wouldn't want to cruise. They could all get together & hang out at the sports bar.

Jill, thanks so much for the link! :thumbsup2 It's fascinating stuff. I will definitely forward it to DD Sophie - she loves all retro Disney information... :goodvibes

Personally, I love the fact that the Enchanted Tiki Rooms in DL opened the day after I was born - it was a personal ambition to visit the attraction and I felt quite emotional when I finally got in line on December 28 2005... :cloud9:

If you really like podcasts -
3 of the best are
WDW Radio Show - Lou Mongello (Out of Fl)
Inside the Magic - Ricky Brigante (Out of Fl)
Window To The Magic - Paul Barrie (Out of Ca)

They are award winning, informative & entertaining.

They are all about disney. the parks. updates with videos (Ricky & Paul) & good guests.

I get them off of itunes under podcasts in the children section

I believe they all have their own sites; but itunes will update them automatically

No idea where we're gonna stay.
Only if you guys promise to behave...

:dancer:

grim pirate:

are you implying that you will have a "child" with you and we don't speak so politely????

If so, you might be correct. OKay...we'll be polite for miss piper (this one time) after that she will know us and all bets are off :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

yeah....i just DON't get them....it could be the 1st time in their lives that they 'could' stay in a sports bar pretty much 24/7....except for the time or two at the Rasul Spa...is that what it is Grim???? obviously haven't done that....but sounds like something one should experience

The rasul is a mud treatment you smear on each other and steam the minerals into your skin then shower it off. Apparantly you have the space to yourselves so it tends to be very romantic. I think Nan and Paul did that too...

Can I start taking bets now on how long Nan can behave? My bet is not for very long! :duck:

Eta...that's what I love aboutcha Nan!

Are you bringing your beer mug or are we buying new ones and what time do we meet at the bar?

I am thinking about doing another swap, anybody have ideas on how we would do one this trip?
