:cool1: most definitely...when you only have a week on the ship...who wants to sleep???? well looks like i have Colleen to lie about the pool with & you for early morning coffee drinks....ummmmm - a Bailey's coffee at 5am sounds darn good doesn't it????

Ummm yeah...

I like to sleep in, and the two 17yo girls we were with were worse~

I saw Mom's pics from her previous cruise with my sister, with a time stamp of 7am of some very grumpy "woken up" faces and made Mom swear she would NOT do that to us! I'd find her with new friends outside having breakfast, laying by the pool or just wandering around every day when I emerged from the cabin.

Brenda, she would LOVE to have company in the mornings...and I would LOVE to have some company after about 10 for some relaxing by the pool.

Hi everyone,

Grim, how exciting about AKLVillas. And also the CandleLight Processional. I would LOVE to see it someday. By the way, Transformers...more than meets the eye, really made me smile with all the memories it brought back.

Jade, I haven't seen the movie yet, but it does look pretty good in the commercials on TV.

About hanging out by the pool, I'll have to wave to you girls from the shade, because I don't do sun unless I have no choice! I'm a fanatic about never going out without sunblock on my face, even in winter. My grandmother who was from Norway had lovely skin with not a wrinkle as she aged, and she swore it was from protecting her face from the sun. So I'm taking gramma's advice.;) But sitting out and just doing nothing on board sounds heavenly.

I've been busy the last few days taking my sister's children on tours around the city. They live in farm country, and have never been to many of the NYC sites. Yesterday we went to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Then to the Gotti house, which is a few blocks away from me. We did Coney Island, and the TV studio where As The World Turns is taped, also Cosby was done there. We just went by, not inside. This particular studio is in the neighborhood where I live. My niece wanted to see Times Square, so I told her we'd go at night, because it's a lot more exciting, so we did. I took them all by car starting from the Brooklyn Bridge, through the Bowery, saw Katz's where Meg Ryan did the famous scene from When Harry Met Sally, saw the red, white, and blue Empire State Building, then Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center (I parked in a bus stop and let them out to take a few pics by the golden statue), St. Pat's Cathedral, did 5th and Park Avenue, Designer Row, then Uptown to Central Park, Gray's Papaya for a bite to eat, then down through Greenwich Village towards home. The amazing thing is that we didn't go out until 10:30 PM, and these kids held up! It only took about 90 minutes to do it all, since it was just a car tour, so it wasn't so bad. I enjoyed taking them around and seeing their excitement.

Chad left for D.C. this morning with Louise for the 4th. Everyone is in bed now, and I just put on the Twilight Zone Marathon, which I look forward to every year. I'll be falling asleep to it very very soon, I'm so tired.

For the 4th, we're still not sure what we're doing. There's so much going on. They want to go down by the pier to watch the Macy's fireworks, but I don't want to deal with the huge crowd that'll be there. We can see the fireworks from my house, but I don't think they'll be satisfied with that. We can just stay in the neighborhood and watch people go nuts with all the illegal fireworks. It gets so smokey and noisy, it looks like WW3, but it's VERY fun.

I wish you all a fun and safe 4th of July. I'm about to conk out, so I'll say goodnight!

Morning Mateys! I hope all my American friends...

Lurking today Mom?

I spoke to Alyssa (my niece-for the rest of you)...

she is very much looking forward to this trip~

I am going to lend her a couple of my Mickey luggage pieces, gotta get them over to her in the next day or so...she's getting my two smaller piece so if she (or you) don't want to check your bags these are small enough to carry on.

Well, I did go shopping for some shorts & tops & a watch. But, yes, I am lurking.:surfweb:

Alyssa will be going in style:yay:

We'll be over Laurie's house (my sis - again for those who don't know) early on Saturday so we can see you two off...

What airline are you two flying with?

Is it a direct flight?

Are you staying at SOG again?

I really like that place, the location and atmosphere there is really nice~
