We'll be over Laurie's house (my sis - again for those who don't know) early on Saturday so we can see you two off...

What airline are you two flying with?

Is it a direct flight?

Are you staying at SOG again?

I really like that place, the location and atmosphere there is really nice~

We are flying Airtran Airways & it is a straight flight. 7:20 takeoff 9:47 landing. We will be using Fleetwood transportation from the airport to SOG. A rental car was too expensive; especially, since there is so much disney trans available.

I asked for a room on the original side. Those rooms are bigger. & closer to the pool.

Sounds like a great plan...

I don't even have to ask if you're taking any pictures ;)

I think I'll try parasailing this time too...

I'm not gonna bother anybody here (in my household) about specifics for a while but am already looking into my options for the cruise. When I go to the Magicmeet on the 14th the Passporter people will be there-they sell their books at the meet at a great rate and I need a new Cruise book :)

well i know my fionce wont and i dont know if i want to ever..but hay some times i get brave and do things i woulda never thought of..some times..

I'm not bothering anyone in my fam yet either with cruise stuff. Mel and Jesse don't care at this early stage, and Chad and Lou have a trip to Mexico in a few weeks, so I've been focusing on that with them. But Tig, I'm like you; I'm definitely already looking into excursions and really everything about the cruise next year. I cannot wait to get the new DCL book. I'll be carrying that thing around with me everywhere I go for the next year and a half. I'm sure Louise will buy one, too. I got her a WDW Passporter for their trip last spring break, and she was so cute with the book under her arm all the time.

Karen, thanks for the waving American flags. I truly am feeling patriotic today, in spite of the rain and probably wash out of the fireworks.

Jill, I am a Twilight Zone fanatic. Grim, I have to admit I never watched Mythbusters, but Jesse does, so hopefully he's been learning something...but not how to blow anything up!

Jade, you can sit with me in the shade!:thumbsup2 Stephen likes politics and history? That means he's going to have someone to talk to in depth on the cruise, because my 21 year old son Chad is so into all that. In fact, he's in Washington DC right now!

It's so cute what RT said about Sponge Bob!

Jill, I showed Mel your siggy photo, and he said Wow! ;)

lol well id like that. but fair worrning he has his points set in stone..lol but loves to debate its what he did in school befor i came along lol
He has been teaching me alot becouse lets face it i never got involved with news and politics.. i didnt watch and learn about any of the wars befor.. (and there still so confusing becouse dates and stuff) Im kinda lieking to debate lately my self.. we some times debate on diffrent sides just to have the conflic and its fun (we do it with out relizing we did it till its over)

He says he looks forward to it hehe
RT loves spongbob i dont know why i said he couldnt watch it but that changed quickly... I like loony toons or one my favs pipei but he wants spongebob..lol

:goodvibes:

This group sounds better and better every day~

Hubby and me don't talk politics...we've tried and alls it does it get ugly...

Chad is different, I REALLY enjoyed our dinner at Palo cause that was the first real (serious) conversation Chad and I had that trip - I was very impressed. ::yes::

hehe well if he starts talking politics and you dont want to all you have to do is ask hes good at respecting others.. thats why we live here right. our freedoms..hehe ok im in a patriotic mood lol i guess its patriotic music on cmt, and then yankie doodel and next fire works and 1776 lol

It's only with my husband that I cannot talk politics...

for all the ways we are the same he and I are complete opposites when it comes to political issues. I would gladly have this discussion with your DFH and Chad.

cool oh i get it beliver me there have been a few things that i just have to steap back on.. lol

so what gean of music and movies do you guys all like. i know we all like potc lol

Happy 4th everyone....just a quick hello - before we head over to DSIL's for our own fireworks & the city ones from the local HS that we can see fairly well from her house....AND those "smores" - just means an extra 20 mins on the treadmill tomorrow a..m.

Glad to hear you're so faithful with sunblock Aisling....i'm pretty fair to & don't do sun at all - unless i'm on that ship....& with the great sunblock that Mary Kay has - i can use it all week & get a nice tan - but i too am even more careful with the face....i don't want to LOOK 50 or even 40 for that matter :lmao:

DD & DBF arrived at Boston just fine...they are waiting for the fireworks to start there....tomorrow a.m. they begin their 'harley' trip up the coast.

Hope you have / or are enjoying your holiday....till later~
PS - Karen - thx for thinking of our holiday!!!

I hate to say this, cause I know you like it...

but we listen to pretty much anything except country~

My household leans towards rock but more of the alternative and heavy metal genre...the classic stuff has a huge place in my heart as well.

I wish them a wonderful trip, Brenda!

Jade, I really like 60's music; bands like the Doors, the Zombies, Lovin'Spoonful...man, if I were a teen in those days, I would have been a real :hippie: !!!!!!!
I also love Yanni and Kitaro. That kind of music really transports me. I saw Yanni 3 times in concert, and it was like a religious experience. It almost feels like he himself IS the music, the way he's trance-like while he's performing. Mel listens to jazz, which I can live without. My kids listen basically to top 40.

Anyone gonna try parasailing at CC next year?
DH and I are booked to do it in September sooo if we like it, we will definitely be doing it again. And I KNOW my DS Samuel will want to do it... :thumbsup2

I'm with you guys on that issue! :thumbsup2 I'm quite dark and do tan very easily even with sun block BUT I guard against wrinkles all the time! I'm afraid I'm one of those vain creatures who wear over-sized sunglasses all year round - best way I know to prevent crows feet... ;)

You're welcome! :grouphug: If I could find my SD card reader, I'd post a pic of the two armchairs I have in my conservatory. One has an oversized Union Jack on it, the other has the Stars and Stripes - they look very striking...

..so what gean of music and movies do you guys all like. i know we all like potc lol

We like an eclectic mix! My two current fave bands are Death Cab For Cutie (US) and Keane (UK). Plus I'm a longtime Bruce Springsteen fan - Thunder Road is one of my all-time top ten... :cloud9: Also love Bob Dylan, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Boston, Jimi Hendrix, The Shins, Counting Crows, The Killers and so many more!

Film-wise, I'm a huge comedy fan - Napoleon Dynamite, Dodgeball and anything with Will Ferrell works for me - tho' one of my best films ever has to be My Cousin Vinny... :lmao:

Aisling, I love your Statue of Liberty photo! It's absolutely brilliant...

I LOVE YANNI!

I've never been to one but I absolutely adore concerts like that...our PBS station plays stuff like that all the time. Native Indians, Classical and Yanni oh my!

Karen, I look forward to your pictures...Aisling I too think your pic of Lady Liberty is awesome! Your niece and nephew are adorable~

Comedies are at the top of my list too.

Hubby likes real guy movies and horror flicks.
